Further research turned up some info on the CUCV II. supposedly they came all white, CARC and other add on item were installed later. In production from 1996 to 2000.

Embarrassed to admit it...but I just bought a vehicle...that I know nothing about. It is a 1997 Tahoe model K10516. All white, no markings but appears but is so plain Jane that it looks like it could have been a government vehicle. All I know is that it looks good next to my Deuce! Any info...

I was worried about that. Luckily, there was Deputy driving by who stopped to watch...and was witness to the agreement that I would not be responsible if I broke his truck.

New building regs after Katrina. My house is almost 22' above the slab. Makes for great views...and covered parking!

He was trying to maneuver around someone who had blocked him in and got a little too far off the blacktop. You can see his trailer sitting off to the left. I watched a couple of guys try to get him out before I got off my but and went down there.

Nope...4. Bayou mud can be nasty. He didn't have the greatest tires either.

Well, actually it wasn't much work. I freed an F250 4x4 that was stuck at the boat ramp next to my house. I couldn't even tell it was back there! I thought it was appropriate that a vehicle that has provided freedom to so many over the years, got to provide a little more on the 4th of July.

I had finally arranged to be there...but obviously, Mother Nature had other plans for today! Some day I hope to meet some of you guys.

Won't be able to bring MOTHER but I am going to try real hard to make it. Let me know what I need to bring.
