Well, as far as I know it's legal for the streets here in Texas. As far as the CDL I'm not entirely sure yet. It's not being used for commercial purposes so on that hand is say no, but it's weight is unreal and it's not exactly "easy" to deal with on side roads. That being said, I currently...

For the price it's posable, just not sure if I want to deal with two or not.

Yeah, figure if I'm going to do it again might as well go big(er).

    back on the forum

I was on a slight hiatus for a bit getting a few things settled. Looks like I'm ready to get back into the stress of MV. Sometime this week, or next, I should be taking a small trip to look at picking up a M977 HEMTT.

    yet another engine issue

While at the museum we located a surplus 6.2 engine (in a steel transport can not a crate). I pulled the injection pump, injectors, houses that link the injectors, and all 8 fuel lines. I will probably start replacing parts starting with the injectors, then start it. Then replace the injection...

    yet another engine issue

I'm actually looking at an 85 HMMWV, same driveline and it needs the gaskets replaced (oil leak) but it runs and drives.

    yet another engine issue

I've had a few different plans for it, just never really have the time. someone is stopping by tomorrow to take a look at it. I'm not exactly a diesel guru so I'll watch and learn as he trouble shoots different issues. I'm done messing with it for the day. After adding diesel kleen it refuses to...

    yet another engine issue

Replaced the fuel filter, added diesel kleen to the tank. Sounds like it runs smoother, will rev up a bit now. When I'm on the throttle it'll rev up but then studders, goes back up, then studders again. Up and down, up and down, then eventually dies again. Fires right back up, less shaking at...

THAT is a very good point and was rather curious about that statement myself.

    yet another engine issue

Tomorrow I'm going to try filling my Jerry can and running a line from that to the pump. Possibly pull the injectors and attempt to clean them. And change the fuel filter. The previous owner said something about checking for an electrical issue with the pump, not sure what he was talking about...

    yet another engine issue

has a hose that runs down under the frame? Yes, I opened the valve and let it drain into a clean, dry 2ltr bottle. I let it drain off until the 2ltr bottle was about 1/4 full. Sitting in the driveway in my YouTube video.

    yet another engine issue

I'm trying to upload a video of it running to YouTube and will attempt to post the link here when it's done. I'm not sure if the video will show how much it is shaking at an idle but it did die twice. You may also notice the wif light flashing. I will start by saying yes,I need to fix that as...

    yet another engine issue

My fuel gauge needs to be replaced regardless. At full it's way over the full mark so I'm not exactly sure where empty really is. Given the LOOK of the gauge at full, the full mark would become half, 3/4 would become 1/4 give or take. That isn't exact as I said just by the LOOK and placement of...
