I think you should consider selling your plate CAD file to individual buyers and allow them to source a local cutter. Would allow to get a few bucks for each sale and give fellow SS members a little comfort knowing they weren't relying on a questionable plate design. I know I would buy the CAD...
Ever make any modifications to these? Would think adding a few internal ribs to each can and adding some cross-bracing between the cans would be nice....or is there any space between the cans? I agree with Andrmorr that adding another safety catch, bolt or something would be beneficial for crash...
glad you made it home safely, finally! Hated getting that text that you had yet another flat. Hope those extra wheels helped! Just got home myself and hope to sneak up and see Lindsey this week. Then I can find out if my new storage locker turns out to be my new shiny doghouse to sleep...
I'm sorry to hear about your home in MO being hit by a tornado. If you make another trip up in the future, perhaps I can come along and help. Had I known, maybe I could have made arrangements to come along on this trip. Drive safe! I still chuckle at that container riding around upside down!
Not sure when you're leaving, but I have an AAR aluminum small container I need hauled from St Louis. Guessing you're going to Jefferson Barracks? That's where my container is. It's 108"x88"x69" and 1400lbs, but you could pack it full of the other stuff you're hauling and save a bunch of time...
Just won the auction for an AAR Shipping Container, single unit, approx 1360 pounds and 108"L x 88"W x 69"H. Empty inside, so you can utilize interior to store or transport additional materials to help offset transport costs. My current concern is having it picked up from GL in a timely manner...
I recently picked up a few BAE MRAP seat kits and have seen a few with the driver/commander seats installed in front, looks a touch tight, but don't think any of them had lifted the column either. They are very comfortable, but you lose alot of the benefits, like reclining, due to the smaller...
2 of the photos are taken on my trailer, the others are the general gov liq pics because forgot to get more pics before I put them in my storage unit.
Looks like it wouldn't be difficult to adapt to a deuce
I know I'm bumping an old thread, but I recently picked up a lot of these wheels and have a few extra. Wanted to thank gringeltaube for the information as it was instrumental in my decision to bid on the auction. Curious if anyone has ever found the CTIS block for these anywhere?
Edit: added...
Wish I would have posted up earlier, but due to some unforeseen bad luck I won't be able to go. If anyone is heading by Gainesville, TX and needs a NIB 5 ton drag link or any 395/85R20 Goodyear MVTs, I have way too many! Didn't want to get into the tire business and still don't, so if anyone...
Picked these up locally a few weeks ago and can't figure out the vehicle they came off of. Not the 5 ton 2 piece wheel because the wheel studs go through both the inner and outer half. Not a HEMTT since it doesn't have the flat center. Thoughts??
Did not get from GL and didn't find an NSN...
Best trick for H1, HEMTT, etc wheels is to weld on washers while balancing the bare wheel at a tire shop. You want the wheel true and only add removable weight to balance the tire. Part of the reason OEM passenger vehicle rims are so much more expensive is because they are more true than...
