Army Bob is dead - Temporarily

Thanks Flat Black, but why do you think it will be a headache? What's that old saying? If it has t**s or wheels your are going to have problems... We made a muffler for Army Bob for the multi fuel - works beautiful. Not too sure that the 6V92 can be much louder thatn an un-muffled multi...

Army Bob is dead - Temporarily

We love the multi-fuel but the 150hp is just not doing what we want. 35 mph up a hill on a busy two lane highway has gotten old. The 6V92 we have is 350 hp. That should help. Mr. Gimli says we are thinking of keeping the Allison, so all we would have to do is match up the jack shaft to the...

Army Bob is dead - Temporarily

Well, you won't be seeing Army Bob out and about this summer. It apparently was more than an IP...multi fuel is down and soon going to be out. Okay - I've searched and searched and everyone talks about the 6V92 Detroit being put into the Deuces. I cannot find who actually has done so. We...

IP install = hard start, surging idle - ideas?

Mr Gimli installed the new IP (gosh whatta pain!) and now Army Bob is hard to start and surges at idle. Mr G believes from other posts here that the culprit is air in the injection system. No one really goes into detail of how to bleed that air out of the system. I know someone out there...

    M109A3 - Combat Camper Build

Roof top a/c good idea for the desert. We do 90% mtns so we knew a rooftop a/c would get wiped off with the first tree branch... Looks good! And it really works and you use it! awesome!

    Extreme RV from M36a2

Hey Daddy - good to see someone actually doing this, instead of just saying they want to. We did the crawl-thru from cab to camper. 1/8" Neopreme (like wetsuit material) will seal up the hole. If you look at some of our posts when we built up Army Bob, we explain how we made the hole to move...

Whatever your reasons for being there, I believe most everyone at TP had good time and those at DB did the same. Mission accomplished!

Oh, no - Army Bob is letting us down?

Had a blast at Tower Park (thanks for another great event!) but when we got home, ol Army Bob had gained a considerable amount of oil. **sigh** The FDC was militarily (is that a word?) bypassed. Bummer. ** another sigh ** After reading all possible threads and checking out all that can be...
