I checked em, the flex plat has no cracks and every bolt is tight to torq specs.

    1986 M1008 - Bad Engine

My truck started making noises when acceleration was lifted (coasting) it gradually got worse. I found the fly wheel was hitting the maint cover. I thought it could be a bad torq converter but after checking it seemed tight and okay. I took it to a transmission shop, and they are telling me...

Reconfigured CUCV front end with Infa-Red light

I'm pretty sure Tinstar is refering to the bumper BO, not the headlight BO.

    Towing power

My M1008 top speed is 55 to 60mph with no trailer, Not sure how fast you want to go, but these MV's were built for 55mph. You either have to enjoy the right lane or get a civ truck.

    Adding old oil to fuel?

You can do it, the only caveat is if you are running a spin on high micron fuel filter, it's going to get gunked up and possibly cause air lock.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

She died on me from airlock, probably time to change the filter, also changed the front right signal light socket since the tin had broken off the original. Been using her as my DD into Atlanta everyday for 1 1/2 weeks while the car is in the shop getting a new transmission. She is a head...

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

Thanks cucvrus, I'll get em swapped out with the M10's, I just figured since all the chevy/gm's usually have the standard 3/8's bolts for starters and alts.

What have you done to your CUCV today/lately - Part 2

I started getting some belt squeal and found out the two lower bolts on the driver side alternator were missing. Now I wonder if they were ever there when I bought the truck. I couldn't find the bolt specs on the TM's or SS, so after some deduced logic and measuring, I found the 3/8"-16 x 1-1/2...
