    Conan O'Brien on an FMTV

Just came across this, pretty cool! It's right hand drive even, I didn't know they made them like that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AisLe6GLbTk

    M1079 check those hubs!

I think they have you fill at 12:00 just for ease of access. Assuming you just got draining it at 6:00 and you have to turn the wheel to refill then you might as well position it to make it easy, but I think if you're just topping off then having it at 4:00 is fine.

LMTV guys.. What do you do with yours?

Awesome. There better be laser cannons!

what fluid is used in the wheel hub?

I'm a little confused... do the rear hubs need to be filled separately or do they just get filled by the differential fluid? I was under the impression that as long as the pumpkin is full then the hubs are ok.

MD NEW to LMTV, advice on registration/insurance in MD

I have Progressive Commercial (Ohio) and it's about $400/yr comprehensive with no usage restrictions.

LMTV guys.. What do you do with yours?

When people ask me what I do with mine I tell them, "whatever I want." I got it just before relocating my machine shop and it was amazingly useful. I made about 8 trips with it fully loaded. I love just cruising around in it too. My kids climb all over it and we take it to car shows. It's funny...

    LMTV Gunners Platform Install Start

I hope you get it sorted out. I had a similar experience on another forum for some Corvette wheels. I eventually did a "whois" search on a website the seller had and was able to get his full name, address, and phone number. Once he got phone calls from me at home he ended up shipping the wheels.

How much have you hauled on your LMTV?

I was the one with the lathe; it was actually 8700lbs (http://www.steelsoldiers.com/showthread.php?144635-Had-my-M1078-weighed-and-a-payload-capacity-question&highlight=). Center of gravity was high and going around turns made it lean a lot. I just hauled over 10,000lbs of steel castings (on...

    brake controllers

Has anyone added a brake controller to their truck? Does the 7 pin trailer plug already have the correct wire for the brake signal? Is there a convenient place to tap into it?

    High capacity drop hitch?

I ended up ordering it from here. It's a bit cheaper. http://hitchshops.com/i-14386225-convert-a-ball-amsc-12-cushioned-ball-mount-12-drop.html

    High capacity drop hitch?

    I guess I didn't search hard enough. Found a 12" drop 10k lb version. I think I'll get this. https://www.etrailer.com/Ball-Mounts/Convert-A-Ball/AMSC12.html

    High capacity drop hitch?

I'm getting ready to weld a 2" hitch to the cross member under the pintle and figure I'll need about a 10" drop ball mount. Most of the ones I'm seeing only have a 5000-6000lb tow weight rating. Draw-Tite has a 12,000lb model but it's only an 8" drop. Are there any 10" versions with a 10,000lb...

    Moar Powah

What's the factory boost? 60 psi sounds like a lot, though I'm not too familiar with these engines.

    Receiver Hitch

I was getting ready to do this setup and just realized I have an extra frame member under my pintle hitch. Mine is an A0; yours must be an A1 judging by the driveshaft flange on the back of the differential. They must have redesigned the frame. I'm just going to weld a tube to the bottom of that...

How practial is a LMTV as a daily driver ?

I usually try to let mine warm up about 15 minutes and then idle 3-5 minutes before shutting down to let the turbo cool. This turns a quick run to the drug store into a 45 minute process lol. Everyone looks so no picking your nose while driving! If you're not in a hurry it would make a fine...
