I am in need of the side tire carrier for the M718 Ambulance. I have the extension, but it did not have the tire Carrier.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks - Bill
Thanks for the pics! Our Dad was a combat Engineer (6th ESB, 203rd Engr C BN) on D-day. We are currently restoring a 1941 WC-21 that we are doing as a 29th Infantry Engineer Truck which they were in support of. You have provided great proof that there were indeed WC-21 in the Europe combat...
Do you have any pictures of your dad's WC-21 that was part of D-Day and beyond? The 1941 WC-21 was typically only used overseas where it had either been already deployed at the start of the war, or was early invasions/deployments such as Burma, or Africa. I would love to see pics of its used...
That is a great looking start to a build....especially the recoil rifle. I have just brought my mule from AZ to Kansas City, KS. Good luck and keep us posted.
I have decided to bring my M274A5 from AZ to Kansas City, Kansas to take to a few shows and spend more time with it. Have had it for about 5 years. Original USMC Mule. Only changes I have made to it was to add electric start, seats and tires. Posted a pic of what it looked like when I got...
The plan is to take it to MVPA Conference in Cleveland in June. Trying to decide how to get it from Tucson to Cleveland. 2034 Miles is a long way at 60 mph
Thanks for the great comments. We broke it in by putting in a 400 mile trip from Tucson to Tempe. Only one item to work on after the break in trip. Speedometer had us going about 85 mph.... GPS said 59 mph...:) Had a great time at the Military Vehicle show in Tempe.
For the question on...
Well the day has finally come! The project is complete. I am pretty proud on how it ended up...but I am partial to it! LOL... I will take it for it's first excursion this weekend. Going to be going to the Military Vehicle show in Tempe AZ. Here are a few pics of the finished product...
Update on M1008 Restoration... Getting the interior ready for its face lift. Putting in a new Dash, Flooring and seat covers once have painted truck interior. Engine runs great. Here are some Pics of latest progress...
The pictures are from Jack's Gov'T Surplus in Tucson Az. He has quite the assortment of M1008 and M1009 vehicles. I have worked with Jack and Josh on several vehicle projects over the years. He also has many M-37 and M715 trucks.
:-DWell every plan has it's challenges. Looks like the engine in my original vehicle had major issues. I had a 2nd vehicle I had evaluated when I found this one, so I will be going with this vehicle. Plan is the same...just a different vehicle. This one was a Marine...so looks like I will...
Had a great time at Findlay! Picked up everything on my list, especially the hard to find M142-M4 Mount for our M151! Lots of great people and the weather cooperated for the most part. Hope to see some of you folks again in CA!
I will be there! Hope it is a good one. Last year was my first trip and I was not disappointed. Picked up PRC-77 Radio, Top Bows for my M151A2, Some Pioneer Tools and M151 Manuals. Hope to score some stuff for M1008... See you all there!
