Finally got mine home! 1500 miles round trip on 4 hours sleep, but well worth it. It looks great.
One thing I noticed, in my urban environment, the desert tan would definately have been better camoflage!
It was at Camp Riley, MN. Now it is safe at Ray's towing in Little Falls.
I highly recommend those guys to anyone in the same fix. They sure saved the day and they had the truck in their lot within an hour and a half of calling them.
If it makes you feel better.......
The shipper I signed up with couldn't make the timing work with the part-time GL representative (he covers five sites). Then the GL rep told me if I didn't get it picked up by Friday of last week, they would repossess it. Had to get creative and located a...
I think I'll pick a shipper from the snow belt to deliver mine. I grew up in Michigan, and there's never to much snow to move in that neck of the woods.
Don't forget to post some pictures when she finally shows up. I'll do the same. See my PM from a day or two ago.
Stay positive. Before...
I'm envious! Wish I could be having shipper problems right now.
I'm at about 40 days and still waiting for my EUC to clear. Definately now getting mine in the drive before 2010.
Merry Christmas Everyone!
I think it was just Crane, IN. Looks like these were consolidated to Indianapolis as a bunch of M1009s just popped up there for sale. Doesn't look like anything any of you guys would be interested in though (not that I don't mind competition bidding these up on me or anything:twisted:)
Must be they decided they were selling too many items in Indiana and pulled them; HaHa. Probably will move them to Texas before they put them up for sale:roll:
I seldom see anything of interest for sale in Indiana or anywhere close enough for me to go see ahead of the auction or save on some...
They are just a couple of old mutts. I will have to watch for other dogs though. My Lab doesn't even try to get along -- never did partake in any of the formalities of sniffing or getting his hair up / just gets right to it.
There is a small group of us new guys up in the Fort Wayne, IN area...
I was up on Hwy 3/ Lima Rd again yesterday and dropped by the used car lot that had the MVs for sales. They have one M1008 and three M1009s. They are asking $4K each.
The name of the place was "Druley Investment Inc" and it is just north of the mall where Home Depot and Gander Mountain are...
Thanks Somemedic. I really appreciate that offer.
I can't offer you all those resources, but, if you're in Huntington and need a couple of spare hands, a warm dry place, a bite to eat and a beverage, I can take care of that for you. (260) 356-7461.

Raiburn -- your posse. What do you think about organizing a convoy to go down there together?
I am new to the site and want to make sure I'm not violating any rules.
I have a small collection of old military firearms that I was going to post pictures of in my profile. Are there any issues with that or should I just keep it MV and keep this hobby to myself?:?:
I see a lot of brass posting here. Are privates allowed to attend?
I'm a new be and I have a M1010 on the way. Waiting for paperwork to clear. Having a fixed date out there will keep me motivated on getting things trail ready.
Also, I have a couple of old dogs that love to camp. They are...
