If I recall correctly, when mine failed it was just a dirty ground connection for the flasher unit. Worth checking, since it only takes a couple minutes to remove, clean, and replace.
Currently they are predicting a chance of thunderstorms from just after midnight until 10:00 AM, and then thunderstorms until 7:00 PM on Friday.
Given the accuracy of weather forecasts, you just never know.
Hope to see you there this weekend.
Never had a problem running mine in the rain.
You could use two cars and two sets of jumper cables; remember that the batteries are in series when you've connected them - and that means that you don't want any metal touching between the bodies of the vehicles, as that would cause a short...
I think he said it was an AF deuce in another post - so, it should be dual circuit brakes. That said, I wouldn't chance a brake failure. Whatever is leaking will fail - likely when you stomp on the brakes hard because you really need them.
Good point on the plate type - I wouldn't know, since I've not registered one as an Antique.
When I titled my second truck, the State screwed up the VIN on the title - the blue VIN verification form I submitted was correct, as was the registration the town issued. Called the State, and they...
If the employee at town hall is the one that messed up and set your GVW at 13K pounds, you can go back to that person and have them fix the issue. Having the title and registration updated to reflect the proper weight shouldn't cost you anything if this was their error - BUT the registration...
Welcome from ~20 miles to your East.
Glad you made it to Weare this year, it was a great rally. There's also an indoor flea market hosted by the same club (mvmvc.org) in March each year at the Milford Armory, which is a nice little drive from Keene.
Enjoy all the information on this site -...
Drove mine to the Weare Rally and back this week. While that's not a big deal in terms of miles, it was good to run it a little harder on some stretches of two-lane road instead of just around town. It needs a good drive now and then.
Don't worry about it, Mike. The hosting club allows club members to use the grounds early, with some 'special events' during the early days; an example is the 'field cooked' turkey dinner they were doing Monday night (if I remember correctly). The Rally begins in earnest for the public on...
Hello, Steve. I'm looking for the large metal box that houses the instruments (meters) and controls for the generator. I don't think that's it from the picture.
Thanks for looking - and see you at the rally!
Greetings from NH.
Why not cruise up to NH next Friday / Saturday for the Weare Rally? Should get your fill of green iron to view there, and it's not too far away. Check www.mvmvc.org for more info.
If anyone has a spare MEP-003 (or -002) control cubicle they can bring to the rally, I'm looking for one. Just need the metal box, not the innards (but would likely be interested if you wanted to sell the complete cubicle). Had a snow-load mishap when the shelter roof collapsed onto the genset...
Go to www . mvmvc . org and click on the 'Weare Rally' tab. There's a link for on-line camping registration / reservations. Don't know if there are any remaining camping spots, but Deb will get back to you.
