Noted, thanks.
I haven't yet tried maneuvering around w/ the tunnel off as I didn't have a spare left after the trip and wasn't going to take it anywhere, even a short distance, until I knew I could get it back if another tire went out. Once I got a new tube and mounted a tire for the spare I...
I do know Jack and have bought several things from him over the years. Mostly the stuff costs me a lot more than I think it should and the quality is not that great.
I did buy some tires from him a month ago for my other trailer and they were already developing bad splits less than 300 miles...
Recovering my M146 trailer and could use a spare. Anyone in route that could sell me a mounted one?
Tucson, Casa Grande, Gila Bend, Buckeye, Wickenburg, Kingman.
Time is short and I plan to roll Friday morning.

Made any progress? I finally put the lil Draggin back on the road after about 4 years in suspended animation. Of course it was pretty quick to tell me some of the things it wants now. [emoji38]

That's a good idea! Now that we're at our destination and I have the trailer unhooked I can try such a thing. As far as running it in that condition, one it started to happen I quit using low range until I could figure out what was happening. This latest trip has been almost entirely pavement...
Thanks! May have to start carrying some of that. I managed to have success using the cringe worthy method of holding the lines w/ vice grips while turning the nuts.
Few hundred miles later and all is working good in that department! Now the current issue is w/ my T-case. It's throwing a lot of...
Once again I'm in the field doing rebuild work. I'm attempting to put new o-rings in the HH and two of the injector lines are not freeing up from the nut that holds them into the HH. I've been soaking them w/ PB Blaster (before and during) and tapping to try and get them to free to no avail...
Got the lil Draggin back out in it's natural environment. Did a 50 mile run and found this nice little site. Room for the rigs and a nice grove of sycamores to hang my sleeping hammock in.
Also got the parking brake back working and adjusted!
I knew that I was going to get that advice.:( That spring was such a major pain to get in place!
I read the TM time and time again to make sure that they wanted you to have the spring on top of the nut. I even got some pics from someone else on a different thread that shows it on top of the nut...
I'm clear on the method of adjustment but look at the photos I posted. If I turn the bolt (11) down until it touches the shoe it looks like the spring will no longer have enough bolt above the lock nut to stay in place. At that point I would still need to turn down even farther to push the shoe...
I have the TM, it's 9-2320-361-24-1 and they give the clearance between shoe and drum as 0.015".
I feel that if I adjust the adjusting bolt on the outer shoe down enough to get that clearance then the spring will pop off the end of it.
I've been jacking around w/ the parking brake adjustments all day. The first issue was that because the spring in the photo wasn't on they had adjusted the cable end almost to the bottom. It's taken me several sessions of non-stubby wrench turning. If fact you can see where I have the adjustable...
That's been my plan as well, only I was hoping to build a sleeper type box in the front of the bed and then have the stack behind that.
