Clinto stated "We agreed to 4-8 November" so I don't think he left it up to debate. I just changed my reservations to 5-8 November and plan on being there unless the other people in my party bow out. I rent a rather large cabin and we split the fee.
Is there any update this week? We're getting close to commit or bail time and need to prepare to turn in "Vacation Time" requests to our employers. I'd surely hate if Durhamtown can't make some concessions and lower prices but I'm ready to roll regardless as long as I know I have some friends...
Clinto,
I doubt you took my post as criticism but I'll apologize just in case. I'm sure you voiced the concerns of the members who regularly attend to the Durhamtown crew. I have no real surprise that it fell on deaf ears for the most part. They are inconsistent on stuff at best but it's...
Clinto,
I think I speak for many when I say "We have no idea what goes on behind the scenes" as it pertains to putting on a GA Rally. Many of us are also aware that Durhamtown has gotten dinged with an expensive lawsuit / judgement that doesn't pertain to us but they're looking to make up...
I haven't had a Deuce in a few years but my friend, Welder1 has one that will get aggravated with my 5 ton (M923A1) on long hills if I drop below 45 mph. His truck does have a turbo and is a W/W (with winch). It's completely stock with the exception of 11R20 radial tires and the FDC bypass...
I would disconnect and plug off the primer pump as suggested. Air can get sucked in from the primer pump and you've said the one on your truck bleeds off pressure quickly. I've had quite a few trucks with an NHC 250 engine do exactly what yours is doing from sucking in air from the cannister...
The one time I had an issue with my pump I pulled it off and had a reputable local shop rebuild it. It came to $360 if I remember so definitely not a deal breaker.
Going into this poll, my truck deserves a better picture. General Nonsense replaced his older brother, the Deuce in Service and later on my 2 acres. We have many traditions with old green iron and one of mine is taking a 6X6 truck to get the Christmas Tree each year. Happy New Years to all who...
I have an FMTV air governor on my M923 thanks to SwampDonkey and it builds to 145 and drops to about 135 after purging. Cut in is around 110 or so. It's adjustable.
Today was load-out day, Welder1 and I should be on ground Thursday around lunchtime. It doesn't look like much but up front I have a huge Kent Moore 4-29109 engine stand for Jeepsinker, 55 gallons of diesel for the return truck, a MEP-802A Generator for Wheelspinner, GMTK Toolbox, Hunter Medium...
This will be year 9 for me. I know getting old sucks but I even came in 2017 on crutches after breaking my left foot. I didn't have a smartphone then or else I would post a picture of crutches and bags on the passenger seat of my M923. I'm ready to roll early in the morning to a different event...
I've got the shackles and t-bolts that I promised loaded. Gotta load the HMMWV Turbo Doghouse Covers and I should be good on what I committed to bring. I'm picking up an M802A generator for a member on Monday so hopefully Coffey1 will help me move that from my 5 ton to a trailer with his M1089.
I hate that you have a bent connecting rod but that was my first worry. You're pictures of your teardown confirmed that but it looks like you're on your way to greener pastures Sir. As cool as it would be to swap a Big Cam, I'd fix what you have. Simp is Awesome and runs from coast to coast...
