Actually, I'm already here. Currently parked as the map/photo shows.
Much as I'd prefer the spot next to the gate, I didn't bring my arc welder to 'fix' that trailer ramp noise of the late arrivals. There are picnic tables here, too. Smoker will be fired up first thing tomorrow- this hunk of...

To be honest, if someone sold a dual-circuit master/airpack bracket kit (sans second master/airpacks) for $250, I'd be all over that. I'd go so far as to call it a must-have upgrade, but I've never even seen such brackets except from a A3 part-out. :driver:
Fork's definitely a wear item. I had one bend on a just-swapped airshift tcase, jamming the gears. Had to disconnect & tie up the rear driveshaft to towbar the truck home. Thankfully just a few miles, and it happened in the parking lot at work.
I do have several unmounted 900x20's that I'm not likely to use. If you're even slightly interested, I'll toss them in the truck for you to look over. Worst case is I haul them back home.
Like you, I have a pair of ww2 gensets I want to unload, but I'm definitely not bringing either unless...
Heck, even if you just show up to help cook the critter parts & hang out, we'd still have a good time.
As PaFarmer mentioned, the group size has really dropped in just a few years. Fuel prices are still an ouch. I'm not sure what happened to No2 Diesel & his brother, but I'd be thrilled if...
MarcusOReallyus is right- a 3kw inverter for that price is either stolen or a fire hazard.
If you're paying less than a grand for a 3kw inverter, it's either a nasty filtered square-wave or a chinese POS 'true-sine' model with a 20/20 warranty. A 1kw true-sine major-name inverter will run $650...
Looks like a plan for the freakishly loud 2kw MEP.
That, or my 2.5kw gas onan RV genset. It'd certainly justify those labels about the pump being a 4-soldier lift. The rectangular vent in the bottom might just be in the right spot. :)
Aren't the secondary/final stock gaskets flat? I thought when I replaced mine that's what I used.
It sounds almost like your copper crossover pipe is the problem. Since you have a new hose on order, You can try cutting off the old rubber hose from the barbed ends- replace it with a 3-ft chunk...
They don't get lubed well in neutral & you're right about the oil line. Somewhere in one of the manuals regarding PTO's, I remember the oil line mentioned. There's a check valve top & bottom & a little shaft-drive pump to oil the PTO & drool on the other gears up top. Keeps wreckers form blowing...
CUCV's have enough issues starting, unless everything's new/clean/perfect. I'd not put any loads on the stock batteries I didn't need to.
I'll try to answer your questions before I get sideways. A block heater shouldn't be run off an inverter from the vehicles batteries. If you're really...
nmdata, I'm rather surprised every truck on that road going over the limit hasn't been stopped & given a few hours worth of sobriety & safety tests for a few weeks straight. Deliberately injuring an officer without any of the other truckers noticing & reporting? State/county cops near me would...
Shocks? I probably need to replace the one in my spring-base seat, but I'm not sure the front-axle ones aren't just cosmetic.
Off-road racing game commercial, from a few years back:
Mechanic: "... straightened the frame, changed the oil & replaced brake pads & rotors."
Driver: "Wait, this thing...
Split the brakes, then start other upgrades. If you can't afford to use split masters & airpacks, you can't afford gearsets anyway. Going to 1100's can be justified, especially if your current tires are whupped.
All the power upgrades to make you accelerate faster can be done whenever you want...
Radial tires for reduced rolling resistance, front hub lockouts, one rear lockout, synthetic lube for everything. Bigger air-filter might not be a bad idea.
Your calculated mpg might be possible, but max efficiency rpm doesn't make nearly as much power as 2500rpm. 2200rpm is a real nice crusing...
