I would take it out and clean it and replace the o-rings and it will be good as new. If it is pointed to the back of the truck it is the left tank if it is pointed to the drivers seat it is the right tank. But someone may of put it on wrong.

I replaced it with a take out engine I got from fuzzytoaster in TX.
I'm replacing an Engine in my friends M923, he let the coolant go bad and it eat the Piston Liners and let coolant in the oil. Not good.
I got a take out engine from fussytoaster. I will do an Autopsy on the bad engine later on, but for now just putting in the new one.

There is some places that can make tubing for you. I had a power steering line made and it had like 5 90's in it.
Just look a round in your town and you may find one close to you.
I put my cutoff switch at the end of the battery box on the drivers end. It is a Cole Hersec
Besure to put it on the Neg. side. The black box in my battery bix is for the Econ lights on the truck, All the battery cables are not hooked up to switch in this photo.

You can always down load the TM's from this site. I did find wire #578, it goes to the Air pressure switches on the air tanks, they are under the right side of the cab by the tool box. I could not find wire 540.
A friend of mine just passed away and he had a M54A2. She ask me to get it running and she is going to sell it. It had a cutoff switch on the battery, just needed to find the key and it fired right up.
