Hmmnnn...I've seen that same thing behind me,too. My Deuce stalled out at a stop light down in N.C. I look back and saw two sheriff's deputy's cruisers pull up behind me. aua The tailgate was down and my plate was covered up.They thought it was a Gov't truck(since i work for D.H.S.) I...
The best place to get waste oil is chinese restaurants- most of them are using soybean salad oil now.It burns great and smells good, too. The answer to the final question is yes it will re-solidify into a semi/solid block--- not good! Anyhow cranetruck is The Man of Biodiesel and I know He'll...

OK- some definition is in order. I just mentioned a QUIETER ride...Not a quiet ride [thumbzup]
I have a muffler installed but flooring would definitely quiet the road nopise. I love being able to hear the engine run- You can tell when things dont sound quite right
Thanks again. I dont know that i need more projects eitherbut... i enjoy these trucks more every day.I know its gotta be some sort of incurable sickness... :)
Be sure that the oil 'hole' on the mount plae is free and clear! I had the same prob with the first comp on my deuce. The city mech's had rtv'd the ENTIRE gasket -COMPLETELY filled the hoiler hole. That was expensive! aua
OK..Bidding was easy. Now- Where to put them both? ...and the one I already have---the devil in the details!
Thanks everyone. [thumbzup] Should be picking them up soon-hopefully.
Doc
Thanks guys...I really appreciate it. Just talked to the other half about the trucks- I know she thinks i'm crazy. All she asked was "where are you gonna put them...and how are you gonna get them home  ---please-
I noticed something interesting the other day on my deuce. The Engine ID tag stated that the engine is a LDS-465-1A... The deuce has a 'whistler' turbo and non-airshift front axle. I thought the turbo models were all LDT's. Any ideas about the different ID's? :lost:
Thanks,
Doc
P.S. Is TFAD...
