Thanks all for the input. I am not a anal purist (no offense), and what I am am going to do with the truck is make an ultimate camper, so matching numbers doesnt matter. After FMJ gets his other trucks home, we will decide what to do. Meanwhile I am still in planning to get my M1028 home LOL!
I am working with FMJ on buying one of his trucks, but i want it configured a little different than he bougt them. Ok, he has 3 really nice. clean M109 vans that are turbo deisal and run strong. He is getting 3 M35A2s with winches, hardtops, and turbos. What I want is an M35 with a winch...
RE: Re: Need Help Shipping M1028
Yeah, I know...but on the other hand I have sold my ranch and have to be moved out in 10 days. LOL! Pressure...........pressure!
RE: Re: Need Help Shipping M1028
Well, I am calculating at least 400 for a one way ticket there, then God knows how much in fuel, etc to get back home. It is around 600 miles one way.
Found my dream M1028, now I need help to get her home. Truck is located in Dayton OH area, and needs to be shipped to Tuscaloosa, AL. Please give me quotes, or advice on how to do this. I cannot take off from work to drive her home right now.
Yes, stock tires and rims. So lets say the drive home would be around 620 miles........can someone help me figure what kinda fuel costs I am looking at?
OK, looks like I might be getting my truck after all. Can someone give me an estimate on what kind of MPG an M1028 (no shelter) with 1 person would likely get? Trying to calculate fuel expenses, etc. Thanks very much!
I am sure people have done this, but is there a particular brand or type made for the M1008 or M1028 that is at least Class III/IV and fairly easy to install? I looked at the Reese site, but got kinda confused lol.
Ok, now I am really confused. I thought that once I got my set of hummer wheels, and trimmed the front fenders a bit, all I needed was the 2 inch spacer kits. This applies to my M1028 (getting her home this week!!!)
