Cool sounds like you got it right. I always love to use a bench vise for pressing universal joints. One thing that bothers me is how did it get that much play in those parts?
Okay here's where the fun starts. I got the parts in today they look good except the voltage regultor. My old one says 14v. New one says on the back 12v....I'm thinking I shouldn't use it?

I don't have a radio in the truck at the moment but, I will add one someday then I will fix that ground. As for the altnators I rebuilt them a few years ago but, screwed up gen2 I replaced the voltage regulator 2 times (one with a new one and the seconded time with the old one)
