I could possibly be the king of lost tires due to lug nuts. 2 trucks and an Arctic cat Prowler. I've lost more than one wheel due to lug nut issues. What make's it so weird is that sometimes it will give you a warning, shimmy, brake pedal pulsating up and down like the devil when hitting the...
Got the M1031 transfer (twin sticked it while it was out) and pto in the truck last night. We were missing the rear out put seal so its on hold til tonight. Should be on the road by next week. Now to hunt for a 10k pto winch off a deuce? Any idea's where to find one????? And while I'm at it if...
Hmm......been a little while since I did it and as far as I can remember it comes with a rubber gasket? I think thats all I used but I'm not 100% sure.
Its just a bung with a plug in it that you can screw in a temp sending unit. I bought mine for that reason and it sits about 3/8 of an in from the front driveshaft. Had to end up using the test port on the drivers side for my sending unit location.
I have one and the stock filter is what I am running. I dont have a part # for ya, but if you are buying it to use the spot on the side of the pan for a temp sending unit, which is what I wanted it for you wont be able to. The spot is right next to the front driveshaft.
My boss's did the same thing. When we picked it up form GSA auctions it had "GET A FORK ITS DONE" written in chalk on the air cleaner. Not what we were wanting to see. The glow plugs weren't firing so we tracked that down the glow plugs cycled and it fired right up. And it was LOUD. I have been...
We did the Rosscommon 12v conversion on the boss's truck. If your going with a small block the motor mounts and exhaust should work. Did on ours anyway. New starter, torque converter, brackets and your gonna have to neck down your radiator hoses if you plan to keep the stock radiator. Use the...
Thanks for the info guys! I called ORD yesterday and he said pretty much word for word what 1ton cucv k5 turbo said. He did say that you can run a crossover setup if your axle tube is at least 10" to the bottom of the frame. He said that 8" was about stock so if you've got at least a 2 inch lift...
Well it sits a little higher than stock with new heavy duty front springs, but not much. What are the options for upgrading the steering if the truck sits at a stock ride height? I know there is ram assist and all that but is it really needed for 34" tires with a locked front end. If I get to a...
Do you need to have a lift to run crossover steering? All the options I saw listed for them on ORD's website were for lifted trucks. Now with the front locker the stock steering is really suckin hard. Sorry if this is a dumb question, I'm just pretty ignorant in the ways of steering setups.
We always had a problem with the Gen 2 circut on my boss's 08. We beat our heads against a wall for weeks replacing parts and cleaning and replacing wires. Nothing. So we did the roscommon 12v conversion and got rid of the Gen 2 circut all together. 5 months later the 6.2 snapped the crank right...

This isn't my truck and all the credit goes to hovenga67 he's the one that turned me onto it. The bumper extension comes back about 6" with one bolt holding it on the back. Its really overkill and not needed. Get out...
I only did this once and it was an emergency. My buddy keeps his 30ft 9000lb camper in the field behind his house. A neighborhood kid shot off a roman candle and lit the field on fire. The flames were rolling pretty hard and headed for the camper. I towed it across the field with a bolt on step...
Like everyone will tell ya, no speed demon. Hills will be your enemy. I usually drive mine towing fullsize trucks around 45 and try to keep it there towing on flat even ground and it will do it all day. Even in the 100+ temps here in Kansas lately. I upgraded my tranny pan and external cooler...
