The light comes on bright with the key on and goes off when I bump the throttle. At night you can see that the light is just barley on, and even at night you have to get right down next to it to see it. Its on on the time regardless of whether its idling or at cruising speed.
Gen 2 light works as it should at startup and is putting out the correct voltage. At night you can barley tell that its on. If you were'nt looking for it you wouldnt notice it. I've replaced the gen 2 alternator and battery and there was no change. Could the gen 2 relay cause this? The voltmeter...
I had a mid 80's GMC suburban that had sat for about a decade. The steering wheel did exactly what you are talking about. To load it up on the trailer I had to use gloves. I tried everything to get it off brake cleaner, goo gone, acetone all sorts of stuff. Never worked. My advice get a new...
I'm using the Katz tank heater. It works great! It circulates the water and has a thermostate built into it so it wont run contiously. Install is easy, just "t" into the lower radiator hose and then "t" into the lower heater hose.
Southdave, I installed a MileMarker 12k hyd winch last month after a 40ft long hard pull my fluid to the cooler was barley luke warm. I run Royal Purple in it and I'm sold on it. I think to overheat the fluid you would have to really abuse the system!
My passenger door is tight. After someone gets in and out I have to have them adjust my mirror because it gets knocked around from getting the door to latch.
123mack, my brother is the photographer so tommorow when we go to ride four wheelers I'll see if he can bring his camera. Stonepicker1 thats a good idea. I thought about getting the same Warn winch to run out the back of the truck, but havent figured out mounting and the roller fairlead...
Thanks Camogriz! I cant take all the credit for it, my dad owns his own welding shop so materials and labor were free! The design was a joint effort over several adult beverages and a couple days of head scratching.
Stonepicker1 I hooked it up to a giant downed oak tree and it drug the truck. So I put the truck in 4 low reverse and it drug the truck about 15 ft, like it wasnt even there. The winch is a MileMarker 12000 using the stock pump. The only thing that I added was a power steering cooler on the...
Shankem-Deep, the front d-rings were kinda a pain. The tubbing that they hook to is a real odd ball size and one is longer than the other. The way we did it was to cut them in the middle (which is how we found it one is longer than the other), we then used a piece of rectangular 1/4" roughly the...
My harness looked like it was a flat 5 plug. Maybe a previous owner cobbled it up. I've decieded to go ahead and run a round six and trailer brake controller splicing into the wires on the back of the army plug. I thought about doing away with the army plug but in the event that I can get a...
I've seen several peoples cucv winch install and I thought I would put mine up also. Maybe give someone some ideas if they are considering putting one on.
