Timber, he's done with the 6.2. He never really was a fan of it. 91W350, we might end up doing that. Gonna make a salvage run this weekend and if they have one out and ready for a little of nothing we might bite. Thanks for the offer on the small parts, if it comes down to it I'll PM ya!
I know that I'm asking alot, lol. But as of now fast and expensive is going to probably overtake slow, thought out and cheap. We are going to have a very narrow window to burn this year and need the truck. In Kansas we dont have inspections or emmisions, lucky us. We dont have another 6.2 to...
M1008 self tapping screws into the rear driver's side bumper. Kansas requires a light so I got a trailer tag light and mounted it above the plate. It does stick up but the recess in the tailgate allows it to shut without touching.
We are goin to the junkyard to get power steering pump and alternator brackets along with manifolds. Sounds like we'll be getting an alternator too. The cheaper the better but we dont have time to sit around trying to make parts work. The old "dollar waiting on a dime" phrase.
I know this subject has been covered before and I've read the previous threads. The other day the boss's m1008 pitched a rod or snapped the crank, of course this happened right before burn season started and thats our burn truck. We've got a 350 GM performance crate engine coming and are getting...
I work for a carburetor shop that specalizes in old BMW carbs. They get that corrosion and pinholes in the float bowls all the time. The stuff we use to fill them is called "Devcon". Works great! Its a two part epoxy. Clean the snot outta it let it setup. I'm sold on it. Main thing is to get it...
Last week after I got done washing the 08 I saw a cop pull right out behind me and ride my bumper. I was headed outta town to dry the truck off (as much as you can dry off at 50mph) and he turned around at the city limits. Later that night on the way back from the grocery store he did it again...
Put the springs on last night and they turned out GREAT!! The part number was JRS224025LF just like toocool used. Raised the front end up quite a bit. About 3 inchs. I'm sure they will compress some over time. I'll try and get some pics this week to put up. Pretty straightforward swap. Thanks...
The new springs from autoparts warehouse should be here today. I will probably get around to throwing them on next week. I'll be sure to get some pics and let everyone know how there are working out!
The belt is tight but far from new. Come Monday I'll hit up NAPA switch it out and see what happens. Thanks again for the replies, just covering my basis and making sure it wasnt something completly obvious.
Thanks for the replies guys. No I havent. I guess that would be the next step. I did switch the batteries from front to rear and the light still stayed dimley lit.
