    New Deuce Owner?

Yeah, this will be the first EUC. Do I have to pick up the truck 10 days after that clears, or after I pay the bill? HD, I wouldn't mind tagging along with you to Ft. Indiantown Gap for your recovery since I'll have one of my own coming up. Send me a PM if you're interested. If you don't...

    New Deuce Owner?

New Deuce Owner Well, I think I got one. Just hasn't shown up on my invoices page yet. 2320 - Trucks & Truck Tractors, Wheeled at Government Liquidation Hope it's a good one. Now I guess it's a waiting game.

GL pics and spotting an air shift axle

This thread was very helpful when trying to figure out if a truck had an airshift lever or not. Thanks!

Thank you for the quick reply! That makes it much clearer. :-)

    "Sale Number 6000+" Question

I noticed in the FAQ at GL: Section 5.B: TRANSFER OF TITLE TO VEHICLES: Government Liquidation will supply a SF97 to customers under the following conditions: The vehicle must have been sold in a "useable" property sale (Sale No. is less than 6000). GL will not issue SF97s for vehicles sold...

Good things come to those who deserve it. You must have done a lot of good! :D

    Deuce Introduction

Any insight into moving a deuce from SC to PA? Is there anyone near Fort Jackson that would be able to assist? Also, are the trucks from the south less rusty? I know they move around from location to location somewhat. I have this dumb idea for a few items down there to pick up in one fell...

    Deuce Introduction

I can't get that test drive out of my head! It was so much fun! :driver: Since I think I could create a new front brake circuit, the only thing left is the wheels. I think from my searching on here that 22.5" rims with 6 lugs are the correct size? I suppose they all have the same offset? I...

Need recovery help near Harrisburg PA

I may be able to assist if necessary. Send me a PM if you need any extra hands.

    M109A3 Anneville PA

I might go preview when they come around again (whenever that is; can I say that?). Was too late to check out this last round though. That one does look nice in the picture. I like the desert sand color.

    CARC and Rain look Great

I've tried the WD-40 on a couple glossy paints that were faded. I found that it seems to bake out after one hot day in the sun. Don't know if it would be the same on CARC, but petroleum distillates are rather volatile. Someone once told me to buff peanut butter into the paint (or perhaps...

Who fixes Deuces near the Lehigh Valley Pa?

This could answer a couple of your questions: http://www.dmv.state.pa.us/pdotforms/fact_sheets/fs-ant.pdf Here's all the information on Farm Vehicle Registration in PA if you can go that route: http://www.pfb.com/news/ag-issues/farm-vehicles.htm

    Deuce Introduction

After careful consideration and contemplation, I decided the Deuce is probably not for me. I am uncomfortable with the split rim "suicide" wheels and the single point of failure braking system. Also, I think working on it could be difficult and I am not quick around a manual transmission...

    Radioactive Gauge Spotter's Guide

If you're afraid of the gauges, better back away from that granite countertop (urananite crystals), throw out the smoke detectors (americium 241) and your old fiesta ware that's yellow or orange (can't remember which). And avoid the yellow and orange dust in the deserts of the Southwest...

    Locked out of deuce

When I switched sides with the owner of the deuce I looked at today, I locked him out of the truck by accident! :-D I didn't realize that when you rotated the inside handle the right way, it locks the outside handle. Luckily the windows were open.

    Deuce Introduction

Thanks Chuck. Unfortunately, PA isn't nearly as lenient and I'd have to keep a logbook whenever I drive the truck plus it still needs an inspection. Those are some new laws that go in effect starting at the end of the month. I looked at the Deuce today that I posted some photos of...

Possible to get a military hummer for 10 grand?

I had a 1994 HMCS and it was my favorite vehicle of all time. :-D I wish I still had it, but I needed the money for other things. :( You were able to find cheap H1's about a year ago, but they went up for a while. I think they're down again (certainly the number advertised has gone up!) and...

    Deuce Introduction

Thanks for that info. Unfortunately, I've got to use it a bit more than what I think an antique plate will allow. Otherwise that is the way I would go. The insurance sure sounds nice. 8)
