So tonite i built a rolling stand for the generator so i can move it around as necessary.
I placed an order for a Noco Genius G7200 Batter charger. Thanks to Daybreak, i finally have a charger at home, and as a bonus, it charges AGM batteries and 24v. It's been on my to do list to get a battery...
Sweet lord did you hit the nail on the head with this comment. I was following the 802 you are referring to. I just checked what it ultimately went for.
$3,488!!!!!
For heavens sake! I mean i just picked up my woodland 802 with 24 hours on a m116a3 which is like new for $1,600! And someone...
I haven't even started it yet. I plan to do everything i did to my mep-002a. Drain all fluids, replace all replacable filters with new, change oil, drain old diesel and replace with fresh, allow to bleed out and cycle through on prime for a good while, charge up batteries to 100%, THEN attempt a...
Yeap. I got it off. Bought some chain last night, screwed together a jig, lifted it up, dragged the trailer out from underneath it while the hubs were sitting ontop of some pressure treated 2x10 sections.
Then i ever so gently lowered the 802 down to the ground.
Thankfully it all went well.
Interesting. I assume then that the dyes used are of different but similar colors depending on supplier, as the dyes in MA and eastern NY make diesel look a dirty red blood brown. Ok, thanks. It's still coming out. I can't confirm its age so out it will come.
Can anyone confirm if it's possible...
Guys, can you tell me why hot links are showing up and not images? I manually typed in the . Thing and i got hotlinks instead? NEVERMIND
Anyway. A few quick questions. The diesel has a magenta color to it. I have seen stale dissel and it did not look like this. What am i seeing? Second. I want...

Well i recovered my 802 yesterday with no major hiccups. I would like to start this thread to detail the recovery process and will also be documenting the steps i'll take hopefully to fet a nice runner going...

Since i started this thread, i realized i should have posted it under the pick up questions forum. I'd like to apologize to everyone for that.
I have an actual pick up question and since this thread is already here, i figure i'll just continue here and ask my question in this already started...
I bet you got these in NH. I was watching that double unit and forgot about it. Went back a day later and it was gone.
I saw what you paid. You STOLE them. Congrats. Keep us posted as to how it goes.
I haven't taken possession of my 802a yet as im waiting for my EUC to go thru ( uuuurrgghhh) but from all the reading i have done here, i distinctly remember reading that the 802 and 803 engines had occassional head gasket issues. You may need to replace your head gasket. Keep a very close eye...
Thanks for everyones replies so far. I paid for the item and will send euc later tonite. I made two calls to govplanet, both reps remarked that run times for euc approvals are currently running between 8-10 weeks. It looks like i'll be picking up the generator at the beginning of january. Sigh...
Today I won an auction for an mep-802a on a m116a3 trailer on govplanet, located at Fort Drum.
Upon reviewing the pick up details it says :
"No loading dock, ramps, or fork lift available. Only RGN (i guess goose neck) or trailers with ramps can be used to pick up this item at this location...
Mike, if u dont mind me asking, what did u end up paying for this?
I was watching that myself, being in albany, the drive would have been 7 hours round trip. Alas, the bidding got to rich for my blood.
Those were virgin like. I almost bid on 4-5 of them. They all went for a VERY cheap price. I was going to drive out the 12 hours and pick them up on my landscape trailer. At some point i decided it was bad timing financially. Im financially highly conservative but in this case i very much wish...
