yeah the solenoid clicks and the light goes out ...i have the heater set on a timer to come on at two intervals during the night and four if it is sitting for 24 hrs or more.i did this so the heater isn't on for hours and my thought was if i cycled it it would keep the block warm without drawing...
lol....i know pumping don't do jack but it's an old habit from my civi k5's and now that i think about it it was pretty funny i even wrote a habitual thoughtrofl

ok i just got a new oem gm block heater for the 6.2 put in and now she is hesitant to start?? before the block heater key on,light off,peddle about half way after a couple good pumps,turn over and repeat till she fired ...now with the block heater turn key on,light...
first morning with my new oem block heater for 6.2 from GM put it on a timer for three hours and she started sooo happy and i think she even winked at me...lol well worth the $42 part and the $100 install by a former motor pool mechanic that works in a local shop.......if ya live were it's cold...
just dropped her off to get a block heater in (finally) there are three of us in town who have them and one guy turned me on to the shop who has a former military mechanic who worked on these things daily $80 bucks for the job and $42 for the block heater from gm dealer (gm block heater has...

thanx...i'll look for 33 10.50's my 31's are like new but i do travel the northway every day to work and back ...how much of a p.i.t.a is it to swap in a th700? at 60 mph she begs for another gear...
good morning all...i have been reading some posts that oh9 owners run 33's and seem to be better for highway speeds,my question is ;can i run 33's on my cucv vs. the standard 31's on it now? or will i need to lift it? it seems that stock height has the clearance but thought i'd get some...
in upstate ny the speed limit is 65 but i too like to keep her around 55-60 at 65 she is loud and revs out the 6.2 will last you if you take care of it and goin slow in a military vehicle IS very relaxing...well for me anyway...enjoy and cheers!!
well my girl has been sitting for two days -30*f yesterday heatwave today at 12*f still waiting for my block heater to come in i used a 100 watt heat lamp under the hood and covered the engine with a heavy packing blanket went down to the local tractor supply and got a kats 300 watt magnetic...
