Yes I have noticed the stenciled in RESET tape on some and I immediatley figured it was someone's dream to send it for a real RESET and someone else said, "screw it dump it".
I have a very good friend who is retired SGM and he was bidding on some stuff that disappeared a few minutes before...
Pic number 1 shows the 5000 lb tie downs that go through the plywood and through the frame side rail which is 2X3 angle about 1/8" thick.
Pic No 2 shows 1/2" eyebolt that goes through the plywood, and through tapped hole in the frame and locknut installed below. To the left of the eyebolt is a...
The project is coming along and I have bolted down the 3/4 plywood to frame rails outboard and will add some more on the cross members. I have it raised up on four jack stands now so I can roll under trailer on a creeper. Getting the additional cross member bolts in place to center the tops of...
It is for sure you have to look at least the pics over closely. I have been watching some and have seen where they have been cannablized for starters, fuel caps, wiring harnesses, etc. I got a MEP802 with 255 hours and it runs like a dream.
The most important thing is whether the flapper cover...
Apparently there is no quieting down a 002/003. I saw a 003 with a very nice manifold set up and exhaust directed into a very large muffler for a 18 wheeler. I called the guy and he said after all that work it only quieted it down a few DBs. He said when he was in the military they dug big...
Went up to lumber place today and got a sheet of 3/4" treated exterior plywood, came home and stripped some hardward off the trailer. Stamped on plywood allow 1/4" expansion on long sides so I trimmed about an inch off it. Then I had to relieve four places each side for bolt heads that hold on...
Double click on pic to get it to max size. Bed is 9'10" long and about 47" wide between the outboard rails. Ramp in back designed for Honda Gold Wings and full dress 74 Harleys to be driven onto trailer. The black stripe down the middle is the crud under the wheel channel. The piece of wood...
Found a very nice trailer at a very good price on Craig's day before yesterday that was a new posting and yesterday I went to get it. Lucked out big time, I got there and after I paid him and hooked it up we were talking and he said he got another call from a guy in NC who said he was coming...
Since I am batting 1000 on hour gages going South (MEP017 died at 299 hours) (MEP802 died at 255 hours) it would seem I am bad luck insofar as military hour meters go.
On the 802 I have installed a log book that drops out when the panel cover is opened up, so far it hasn't broke haha.
I...

Very interesting, I just called them and have dealt with them several times over the years and they have excellent products.
The above http makes reference to HDPE fuel tanks they sell and some are available with...
Jeepsinker you are absolutely correct. After I put in my inputs I remembered a course I took at Rock Island Arsenal 30 years ago called Corrosion Control and Prevention of Material Deterrioration where among a thousand other topics diesel fuel deterrioration and its after effects were discussed...
It is interesting in that I have about 10 plastic 5 gallon fuel cans for my backhoe. Some have been full for three years and not used and I keep looking in them before adding to backhoe and I don't see anything growing. Wonder if their being metal causes a reaction and plastic less reaction?????
I see lots of 55 gal drums that I think are polyethelene these days, blue and white mostly. Anyone ever used any of them? Reason I ask is the fuel tank on my backhoe is black and appears to be same plastic. Obviously you wouldn't want them exposed to sun light long term.
If your fridge hose is like mine I think the fittings are not going to be nearly big enough and they are not designed to be moved. There is another possibility.
FWIW I was introduced to a heavy nylon reinforced clear line called Tygon a few years back and it seems durable however I am not...
Several months ago I spotted larger underground gas tanks being dug up so I stopped to have a looksee and it was very educational. I noted they used acetylene torch to cut holes big enough for a ladder to be inserted therein and a worker to get down inside so I asked lots of questions. They...
Glassk, small world I moved here from Phenix City and lived near the flea market across from the elementary school on the 4 lane that goes out to Smith's.
I came in today with a 55 gal drum a buddie saved for me and took it to my stash pile and completely forgot I have what appears to be a 100...
Based on experience if the exhaust is left open things tend go in them and build nests. A flapper IMHO is the safest and most effective way to go as I have one on a farm tractor.
I have one as is pictured on line as the quality of it is very nice, better than is on my tractor. As indicated...
