LOL....no, I meant transfer case mounts! Leaking seals are the symptoms of what's causing the vibration.....

Replaced both door strikers today, was a big improvement in closing both doors.....and will replace door hinge pins next. Also replaced passenger mirror today......plastic mounting gasket under the original mirror had just about disintegrated and so mirror was vibrating quite a bit.

Replaced my transfer case mounts today (new ones from ORD) in advance of getting harmonic balancer and motor mounts (from ORD) replaced tomorrow, to then be followed by transmission output shaft seal and transfer case input seals replaced.....and whatever else needs to be done to address really...

Will do.......thinking this will be a journey to correct/improve several things on my unit, so will take before/after pics to document.

I'll be replacing motor mounts and transfer case mounts (ordered from ORD) along with the harmonic balancer to first make stationary my drive train, and then yes on to replacing seals for transmission and transfer case, which were no doubt negatively affected by drive train vibration...

My 208C has that tag affixed to rear of the case

I use a pour spout on the quart of ATF, or use a hand pump and plastic hose to pump from ATF bottle to transfer case......I use the latter method to fill front/rear differentials when I drain them.

Correct belt #'s? I'm about to replace mine while replacing the harmonic balancer.

Hence the request for the socket size for the transfer case fill plug......I have a good selection of tools, but nothing up to 30MM in socket size.....biggest socket I had on hand was 1" and 24 mm.

What"s the socket size for the NP 208 fill plug? I tried to remove mine this afternoon with the biggest crescent wrench I had, but it wouldn't budge (so I call bs on the previous owner's claim that he checked the fluid level in the transfer case)! My transmission fluid level was +1 pint low on...

What lift on your's? Hope my '84 M1028 turns out as well.....I'm leaning towards the ORD 4".

I should have a shipping notice shortly for my alternate source.......when I spoke with Amazon this morning they were indicating the part was on back-order.

Since you had the seat out......what was the purpose of the section of chain on the driver side front floor mount? assuming you had the section of chain present? I have the section of chain welded to the bottom of the seat front floor mount tab, and then of course no bolt to fasten the seat...

We remain on the same path.....my harmonic balancer has been ordered from Amazon but still not shipped two days later, not sure what's up with that........and then transmission and transfer case mounts will be addressed.......then I'll take to a shop for evaluation of my ATF leak, either from...
