Paid 6K for it, but it's brand spankin' new stem to stern. Even the warranty cards are there and boxes unopened. Don't figure why they would get rid of it????
MR - Here is a shot of the base of the FW25. Sorry about the pic, but it is pitch black out. You can see the tubing that forms the base that sits on the trucks frame in the foreground - similar the the earlier pictures of Rickyoday's Monarch. The main triangular structural support is welded...
MR - The rear end (round tube) of the FW25 just sits on the frame. No mounting brackets required. I will see if I can get you a pic of a mounted unit. Not sure about the slave cable. The one I had was cobbled up but had a cable with a battery cable clamp. Definitely not from the factory! I...
Yes - Miller owns Holmes. They phased out the 5th wheel units some time ago because they were getting a lot of grief from their commercial towers about lost revenue from people buying the 5th wheel units. I have dealt with Miller for other reasons, and they have always been very very helpful...
MR - The FW25 is a sweeet unit! All of these are rare and very handy to have. The yellow one I posted above is a FW25 I got out of NC last year. It will do pretty much everything you want it to! Nice find - and post a few pics. I don't have a manual, but I think if you call Miller they...
Rick - thanks for posting the pic of your Monarch 5th wheel wrecker. That's an interesting design and looks like it has some advantages over the Holmes such as the hydraulic extension cylinder. I would love to see a few more photos.

All the Holmes units I am aware of have a lift ring. They differ on the weight rating due to the stoutness of the unit - size of the hydraulic cylinders. This shifts the center of gravity to the rear on the heavier units. Therefore the lift ring is in different position depending on the unit...
The FW35 unit is the heaviest. I believe it weighs about 1085 Lbs. There is a lifting ring at the center of gravity. It can be lifted easily with an engine hoist. If you need to lighten the load you can take the king pin slide off and remove the hydraulic cylinders and separate the lifting...

sorry to hear of all your troubles. Hope it works out ok in the end. I am the first to get pissed off when something goes wrong, but I wanted to pass on the praise also where it is due.

Well - the system has/had a glitch. My CC info is/was/has been current and accurate. Only when I buy a EUC requiring item is it declined. Always goes through with a non EUC item. Spent a long time on the phone with customer service, IT and Daniel at the EUC office. End result is that there...
I don't know about trucks, but I urge anyone who would be tempted to buy anything from "Ecotrax" in the UK to look somewhere/anywhere else. They are crooks! I purchased a very expensive 30T winch from them several years ago after getting the photos and specs. They sent some piece of junk that...
Cleaning out the garage and I found this NOS niehoff dual voltage regulator that I thought someone might be able to use. I think it's for a HMMWV. From another SS post it looks like these are about $575 from Uncle Sam. I would like $50 - paypal only. That includes shipping to the continental...
