Hey Kyle, I am very behind and just catching up on various topics and saw your note about snow. Our friends recently moved to Texas and were telling us about the rare event. Once again, thanks for the kind words about my truck.
Ziggy please contact me again so I can send money for lights.
I wonder how much the fuel prices are going to affect travel to various MV shows this year? In the Detroit area we are really fortunate to have a lot of local events this year. I will be planning on staying closer to home most likely.
The top comes off my truck at the first sign of warm weather and pretty much stays stays off until after Labor day. The sounds are better with less rattles and more wind and exhaust noise.
I spent a year of going on Joes website every day until I found THE truck. Anyone remember the pic on his website of a bunch of CUCVs lined up along his road? I'll never forget the trip to New Jersey to see MY truck for the first time. Joe was (is still) as cool in person as he seemed on the...
Someone discussing m35s once said that they were designed to do alot of things OKAY. That s why I like them so much. I think I'm gonna go out to the barn now and start her up.
Kenny, funny you mentioned that. I was thinking about Randy while reading down this thread as I was there just when he discovered the 3/4" holes. I bought my gun ring from him that year.
Wow, what an interesting thread. I too want a 10 ton, marked up just like it was back in Nam. I once talked w/ Everette, Dave Doyle's dad, about having to constantly work at driving these trucks. Shifting is supposed to be fun also. There was one of these for sale last year in Michigan Truck...
One year, I loaded my big generator to power the lights. Not feeling like killing myself last year I used an inverter clipped onto one battery (12 volts). It worked okay for the 30 minute parade.
I'm curious, does anyone on this list have a historic licensed bridge truck (or a 10 ton for that matter) that they drive around full width and not get hassled? I'm not talking a daily driver but the weekend run or parades.
I don't have any opinion about the pricing but I can tell you that the seller is a stand up guy. He has a number of DUKWs including one that was never in the military and never in salt water. It spent 40 some years in a GM warehouse in Flint Michigan. He brought it out to several Alpha...
I have the complete installation instructions/drawings for the m66 ring. They came w/ mine. I just have to find them and could make some copies if anyone is interested.
