Are M105a2 top bows always wood?

Thanks for the info guys, much appreciated! A fellow SS member here offered me a set at a good price so I'm going to upgrade to steel.

Are M105a2 top bows always wood?

The bows on my M105A2 have steel uprights and corners with wood cross pieces. Two of them are good, one is severely warped and the other two are rotted really bad. Were these cross pieces always made of wood? If later ones were steel or fiberglass, I'd like to get a set. If they're all wood...

Why are green or camo cargo covers so hard to find?

Yes, it's solid green. Clinto, I don't know the particulars about the MS# but the cover fits my truck perfectly. Definitely not for an M105 trailer. It is the newer vinyl one piece style and does not have separate end sections.

Why are green or camo cargo covers so hard to find?

The green vinyl cargo cover from Clark's arrived yesterday and I had it installed in about 15 min by myself. The cover is brand new with all straps and super-rope already installed. Date on it is 2009. Came in it's original sealed GMA box. It fits perfectly and looks great! Total cost was $400 +...

    Bellingham deuce

It wasn't me as mine will likely never leave the island. There is a nice deuce parked near the primary school in Stanwood though.

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Changed all three fuel filters on my deuce today. I don't think they've been changed for 25 years as I cleaned about a pound of gooey sludgy crud out of the cans. The two on the engine were a breeze but the primary was a bit of a pain. Gonna run her to town tonight and fill the tank. Next on my...

Why are green or camo cargo covers so hard to find?

I just bought a set of complete bows (fiberglass uprights, steel corners and steel crossbows) from Idaho Motorpool for $175.

Why are green or camo cargo covers so hard to find?

I'll post when it arrives. I called and asked some questions and the fellow said they were new in the box and come with all attachments and super rope. I'm heading to Idaho Motor Pool tomorrow to get a set of bows.

    Thanks Jeff.

    M105A2 cargo rack question

My M105 has the two side racks and the front rack and all of the bows but I don't have a rear rack. My question, is the rear rack the same as the front, or is it different? Anyone got a pic? Thanks!

Why are green or camo cargo covers so hard to find?

You're right, I see a couple of places do have them. The price was a shocker though. $1200 for cover only, not including bows. More than I can afford right now. I'll settle for the tan cover with all the bows and hardware for $475.

Why are green or camo cargo covers so hard to find?

From what I've been reading, finding a green or camo cargo cover will be an effort in futility. I'm heading out on Thursday to buy a set of bows and a tan cover for my deuce. Tan will be better than nothing and the price is right.

Why are green or camo cargo covers so hard to find?

Yes, but I believe they are painted over a green cover, not a tan one. Not sure how well paint would adhere if I tried to paint the entire cover. I've seen a couple of camo trucks running around with tan cab tops and they didn't look too funny.

Why are green or camo cargo covers so hard to find?

Vinyl is what I want, not canvas. Does anyone know what the cost from GMA will be? I tried to call them but didn't get an answer. Will try again tomorrow. I have to make an 8 hour one way drive to pick up the bows, corners and uprights and he has the new tan vinyl covers as well for $350. Hate...

Why are green or camo cargo covers so hard to find?

I've finally decided that I'd like to put a cargo cover on my Deuce and didn't expect any problems finding a standard green or camo vinyl cover. Surprise! All I can find are desert tan or white. Where did all the green ones go? I'm headed to Idaho Motor Pool on Wednesday to buy bows and a tan...

New guy here. Pics of my Deuce

Thanks for the welcome guys. Yes, the price was too good to pass up. I'd been looking at GL for at least a year but never took the plunge. Ft. Lewis is a few hours away but most of the trucks I was interested in were in the southern states. Too far away. This one was owned by the state of WA and...

New guy here. Pics of my Deuce

Been lurking here for awhile and finding a lot of great tech tips on keeping my truck rolling. My Deuce is a 1967 Kaiser M35A2 with an LDT465-1C engine. I bought it at a local auction about 7 years ago. Opening bid was $1500 and I was the only bidder. The truck also came with an M105A2 trailer...

    M35A2 Air Pack...Aarrrrgh!!

I don't know if the vent line is plugged. It wasn't plugged before I took the air pack apart. When the brake fluid got into the air system, it was spewing brake fluid out from somewhere next to the engine on the passenger side. Is that where the vent tube is?

    M35A2 Air Pack...Aarrrrgh!!

No, the piston was not stuck. The reason for rebuilding was because brake fluid was getting in the air system. The brakes have never done this before. Yes, I did hone the cylinders even though they looked fine. I had the entire unit apart and cleaned everything spotless. I'd hate to have to...
