yes 73m819. you are right. we could get an abundance of the 10w than the dexron. it worked just as good. we seen the trucks with either 10w or dexron. i would go with dexron. make sure you change the filters. it gonna be a process to rid of all the 10w.
you said the inj tip was worn off. do you mean the inj tip came off or tip was worn from being too loose? if it came of, you need to look at your turbo wheel and make sure the wheel is not torn up because of the tip going thru there. you also said that the inj were loose. its a possiblity that...
the on highway trucks of today use the synthetic 80/90w oil. there is nothing wrong with using this oil. its expensive than the other. you can't mix them at all. the synthetic run cooler in the diffs. it saves on the wear and tear of the gears.
i'm not comparing the series 60 to the 2- cycle, by no means. i like the 2 - cycle and they've beefed up there game with the series 60. detroit diesel will never die! they will live forever!
