A lot of weight is removed from a 5-ton when bobbed. Depending on the model you start with. I have seen them bobbed at 13K#. Near Deuce weight. Licencing is no problem. Just licence as a Jeep Kaiser truck with original year. Insurance, liability only, is reasonable this way.

Several bobbed 5 tons done with rear hung on Deuce front spring packs. With 425 pounds of spare tire/wheel in bed it rides like my pickup. Perfect really.

Anyone thought of a, disconnect switch at the battery box. Any advantage, other than doing electrical work? I was thinking security and prevent discharge. I am learning.
Is there any draw/load on a deuce or 5 ton when shut off. Just wondering what draws the batteries down over time.

Windshield open 4 inches and windows up makes a positive air pressure in the cab to keep the hot air from blowing in from the engine compartment. When stopped this will bake you. Doors off sounds fun. never tried it, yet.
