Hi all , picked up a slant back kit today , and although I've been through the tech manuals , I could do with a step by step on removing the turret , ready for shot blasting

I just passed a truck with a chopped up front section of a HMMWV on the back ,11:30am , M20 , Coast bound in Kent UK ??? :-?

I was thinking that would be the only solution , what do the latest Hmmwv's have in the frame rail's , by way of drainage points ??

Just a thought . As the chassis rails are open either end & are sealed front to back , how do you guys get the water & sand out of the chassis & rust protect , to prevent internal corrosion . answers on a post card :?

Is their a link or a post which details the age of the truck , by the frame number . Production dates by frame etc , I did come across one somewhere years ago , but I cannot find it now ? Found it , it was a previous post on this forum , problem solved.

What a waste of parts ! , Great for all us Hmmwv owners , that they will only go up in price , but wouldn't it be great if the spares price came down due to over supply .....

I found mine behind the front bumper , in the right hand chassis , on a factory wired on tag , it was a little rusty , so all you have to loose is 20 mins , it's a 50/50 shot

Point taken , I will do a temp ground directly from gauge to battery to check

tried that , but it was then just dead , will have to get the tester out & print the TM section
