i like the FMTV's. they are a smooth riding truck. like night and day with the deuces. i've put them through a good test, i rather have a deuce any day!!!

i agree wreckerman. it would be an stopping issue. i'm pretty sure they would have the intervehicular air lines connected. thats alot of weight for that hemmt to tow. when i drove hemmts, i always connected the airlines to the disabled vehicle. it help my driving easy. i loved the detroits in them!!

its an M1088A1 MTV 5T bobtail. its part of the FMTV (Family Medium Tactical Vehicle). its the latest and greatest in the military inventory. The FMTV replaced the 800 series trucks. great trucks. they're runnig catepillar engines with allison automatics.
the LDS do smoke more than the LDT, its just there nature. the oil is normal after being changed. do you notice your oil level on the dipstick getting above full mark? if so, you could be getting fuel in your oil. Do this, pull the dipstick out and smell it to see if fuel is on the stick.
