M923 Alternator Magic Smoke got out...

With what you have listed as your top 3 criteria I would wholeheartedly say do the conversion to the Delco SI alternator. Less expensive that the military unit, Much easier to get replacement if ever needed again as they are stocked in many parts houses and lastly they more reliable than the...

    Fort Bragg 5 ton assistance?

The list is pretty good. Personally if your not over a couple of hundred miles wait to change your fluids till your home (of course check levels and if filthy change it before starting out) this way the exiting fluids can be thoroughly warmed up and circulated enough that you get a good...

Govplanet tutorial from fellow members ?

The easiest thing to do is place your max bid your willing to pay for the item your wanting and then just wait and see if you win at the end of the auction. But if you want to play the bidding game it's really just about like a real auction. Once the item actually "opens" for "active" bidding...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I wanted it to go on the outside to eliminate puddling of water/snow. As for Height I will eventually cut off a few inches from the main pipe to bring the overall height down to the stock setup height. That Prefilter you picked up should flow much better than the stock Mushroom cap as well.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Not to worried as I have an air sock aka pre-filter that can be slipped over it... but if conditions really are that bad it's easy to turn it backwards or to the side. If the big OTR trucks can run them facing forwards without a sock and I have run them forwards on the tractors and such on our...

Well got couple of things accomplished over the weekend. Got the 923a2 "Beast" through it's annual state safety inspection with flying colors and the tech doing it went over it with a fine tooth comb. But I knew it would so it's ready for the road for another year of shows and what not :-)...
