Look for one that will deliver a certain # of CFM. If you are spraying paint with an HVLP gun, you need 50 psi and 22 cfm. If you use a compliant gun, look for 30 psi and 12 cfm. Sandblasters use huge amounts of air. Air tools like 120 psi, fairly low cfm.
2 stage compressors are nice, cast...
No carb to adjust on a multifuel. You have an incurable case of "Non Turbo Smoke". If you want to eliminate the smoke, you will need to install the turbo kit. Contact CraneTruck (Bjorn). He converted his and can give you the low down.
This has been tossed around for some time. The issues are: Unregulated VOC emissions, and improper hazmat disposal.
I expect it will pass and become law.
However, alkyd enamels will still be available, and you can paint an MV with that just fine.
You could spray a MV with Sherwin Williams A100...
We have a $10,000 copier at work that will scan an item straight to PDF. If you have the original we can use, it would probably be better than scanning a copy.
The deuce cd manual set I have put together has the 361-10, 20, 20P, 34, and 34P included.
I need to get a gas engine manual to scan and include on the next version of the CD.
I was looking at the plumbing diagram for the FDC/Injector pump. It looked like I could plumb in a pair of 3 way valves and a bypass line to go around the FDC. That would be an easy way to increase power if needed. However, it looks like a pyro and boost gauge would be needed for safety...
Anyone know if bypassing the fdc makes a power difference when running diesel?
It looks as if I could install a couple of ball valves at selected points to allow the FDC to be bypassed or operational at will.
If anyone has one and can give me some really good pics and measurements, I can probably build repro's.
They are fairly simple looking items.
The skate rail is made out of cam followers, nothing exotic there.
I'm the lucky one, I guess. I have NEVER had any problems with my neighbors. The old couple next to me think we are the greatest. The hubby is a WW2 vet who got shot up really bad in France in '44. He has ridden around the block with me a few times in the deuce. The wife is a sweet little old...
I wonder if anyone has tried the Mercedes 6 cyl. diesel? I have heard from my Dad (rv type) that there is a 6 cyl. Mercedes out right now in the big motor homes that is supposed to be a screamer. Supposed to be more HP than the Cats everyone is using, and better fuel economy.
Seriously, I saw a...
M35A2USA@aol.com has them for 10 bucks plus shipping. I ordered one a while back, he will be back in town in a few days and ship it to me. he also has airpack lube for $5. I ordered a mirror, some airpack lube, and 4 shackle pin retaining pins, $20 plus $5 UPS.
I would call and talk to Chip? Chris? can't remember the young man's name. He was the one I dealt with. Be polite, state what happened, ask if he can straighten things out. If you requested Michelin XL's, and he shipped Firestones, he should take care of things. Did you write on your check "for...

I have used both pressure and vacuum bleeders over the years. I prefer the pressure type, because the vacuum type can pull in air around a wheel cylinder cup. Normally this is a problem on an older truck, where you might be working on one wheel only.
Just my 2 cents worth.
You can build...

You should still consider pneumatic actuated valves. I have a couple of Swagelok 3 way valves, 1/4 tube. I have found a Swagelok 3/8 npt 3 way on E-Bay for 10 bucks that will fit the pneumatic actuators I have. That would give you the most reliable setup, using the deuces air system...
Discs on the front would be nice, but getting the correct booster cylinder would be a chore. Drums are fine, if properly maintained and adjusted. Discs are a lot easier to inspect and service. I have seen a lot of semi trailers running rear discs, so it must be cheaper to build than a comparable...
Real nice article on setting up front disc brakes. Looks like it would be withing the range of most of us.
Finding the correct booster cylinder would be the biggest challenge, but I imagine there is a big truck unit out there that would work well.
