Gator, Find a deuce trans and your good to go. Low first and over drive. Then use a divorced Tcase. Problem solved.

Has anyone ever bothered to shorten a 4door sub into a 2door suburban with the 2 doors in the rear instead of the regular tailgate? It would make for an interesting looking blazer especially in 3/4t form.
Congrats on the green GMC. You will have a lot of fun with it. I had one many years ago and more recently the M135 now living in New York. I found SS to be a wonderful wealth of information and advice.

Another point of thought, I don't ever recall seeing a 2pd rear diff on a civvy truck say an older chevy/ford/chrysler 60 series with a live front axle either. The thought of getting the axles together while under power or even with the clutch...
The best part of this hobby is to enjoy what you have for a green toy, and if/when it frustrates you, walk away and come back another day with your head back in the thinking position. The smile that you get when you drive it down the street is worth the adventure!
