I have one in the generator shop right now getting checked out. i'll PM you with a price, but shipping will be a bear. Those things are heavy!
I assume you mean the 25 Amp generator. I have both 25 Amp and 100 Amp generators.
You're only nuts if you keep it after it no longer suits your needs. Don't feel bad about doing work to it even though you're selling. I did the same and wouldn't have felt good about selling problems to someone.
You question says it would run for a while before you did work on it. Are you saying that it now does the same, or that it won't start at all now?
When a vehicle which has all its parts in good working order runs for a while and then just quits, I would suspect that the gas tank is not...
The dash voltage gauge should show the relative voltage coming from the regulator. If it's more than a third of the way into the green it may be too high. You can measure it directly by pulling the lead from the gauge and using a multimeter.
I'm not sure if you can start and run the M37 on...
Apparently, the standard setup with a center mounted step would preclude the addition of a hitch [URL="http://www.olive-drab.com/images/id_m43_dodge_375.jpg"]
Before you do much more you might want to check the voltage output at the regulator. The generator output varies a bit but is smoothed out and regulated by the regulator to supply 24V to the coil. If the regulator is out of whack and putting out too high a voltage, then the coil is being...
Does any one have any experience in towing an M37 using the military V-shaped towbar? It would be for a couple hundred miles. I figure to unlock the locking front hubs and disconnect the rear driveshaft. Would there be any precautions to be aware of? Does the vehicle track well or should the...
Electric fuel pumps PUSH fuel through the lines; mechanical ones PULL the fuel through. There is no particular problem mounting the electric pump in the engine compartment - as long as there is fuel in the line between the tank and pump. If, for some reason the fuel in the line drains back...
Gain about 10-15% speed on the level, and you lose the same in power to the wheels. On level ground it doesn't matter a whole lot but if you hit an up grade in 4th gear, you'll need 3rd real quick. Also, you'll probably have to start out in 1st instead of 2nd a lot more.
One more pix. It's clear that the blackout lights and brush guards were simply removed and stock fenders were cleanly widened. It's still not clear whether the add-on grille was attached to the front of the hood or, possibly, the front of the hood was cut off to more cleanly match up to the...
It looks like everything from the firewall back is pure M37. The Hood and radiator could have just been dummied up but I'm wondering about those front fenders. They're certainly not M37 modifications. Makes me wonder if the whole front end wasn't part of another real vehicle?
