Need Help Dissassembling a Ring Mount

renovate7, It's impossible to find parts... as these are a Rock Island Armory mfg. item. Real printed material on the ring is gov't restricted, and won't help with any major rework anyway. These things are still issued and in use I guess thats why. I dont think theres a service/repair kit. I...

Deuce 24 volt accessories power supply

Oh yeah, and not like it's ever gonna happen, but... the next time I'm using the small Remote Control Spotlight, to find targets to illuminate with the AN/VSS3 Tank Searchlight, to get a bead on with the Remote Control M2HB T&E on the gun ring, while talking on the CB radio and heating up food...

Deuce 24 volt accessories power supply

cranetruck, :| Didn't know that. But on the other hand the slave socket price was right. Besides, I just couldn't find it in myself to go with the second option... just too civilian.

Deuce 24 volt accessories power supply

The timing is pretty good I just finished this up last week. I had an AN/VSS3 searchlight for the roof, the UH-48 heater, a remote spotlight, a center console with the comms, remote electric T&E for the M66 gun ring. So whaddya gonna do? There's a guy on Ebay(right now) with $12...

richardsredemption, Nice catch, looks like its in great condition. DanMartin, Although I had the Slave Cable and seat belts, didn't have that flight line sticker(sounds cool tho, got a pic?). My Deuce was from Home AFB, and had 'Air Force - Official Use Only' on the doors, FWIW anyone know...

What's up with GL auction prices?

3 Deuces in Peoria IL near me went for about $4,000 each today. They were 1988's with under 150-300 hrs, about 5-8 thousand miles, one of the last production runs.

Where do you tap for a multifuel heater fuel line?

Chuck, It's an on-off switch in the thermostat, I used a jumper wire to run mine.

Where do you tap for a multifuel heater fuel line?

Chuck, You may want to use the thermostat on the thermo plug and not on the power cable. Is that what you meant?

Where do you tap for a multifuel heater fuel line?

Chuck, Sure tomorrow, then you just jumper the two pins in the 'thermo' socket. I did just that to see if everything tuned on. I hope my pump diaphram isn't dry rotted when I finally fuel this thing up.

Where do you tap for a multifuel heater fuel line?

Chuck, Thanks, no rush, whenever it turns up. A wrong barrel locking pawl kept us from shooting anyway. JDT, They're out there, Ebay NOS in the box $150. Fixer uppers are a lot less.

Where do you tap for a multifuel heater fuel line?

Yeah cranetruck, the 'push on' swivel connector had to be re-machined to fit the flared fitting on the unit. But a flare to pipe thread adaptor might be out there too. Qt/hr... not bad.

Where do you tap for a multifuel heater fuel line?

Chuck, Why don't you just run it to a jerry can. I'm still trying to figure out the fuel consumption of these guys. I saw that Austin(Aviation) had a jerry can spout attachment for 1/4 inch fuel lines on his Ebay site. I'm using that flexible plastic tubing so I can route it to where I need...

    Help with uh-48 multifuel heater.

RE: Heater Manual MilSurplus, The amp meter doesn't budge on my power supply when I have the UH-48 on and dry running. I haven't put diesel in it yet tho. Does it really take that many amps?

    M35a2 charging system question

If the alt/bat wires were connected during the test run you might have been just picking up the battery's 24v. You're right, when charging the alt should put out 28v. Make sure the exciter wire is getting 24v at the solder post.

    Deuce fan belt life

Swapped the alternator this weekend and gave a 'look see' to the alt fan belts while I was in the area. They looked good, soft, no cracks, not glazed. But this year they'll be going on 20 years old. Do I go by the age of the belts or the hours on the engine, I sure wouldn't replace them by the...
