guess I wasn't specific..Commercial trucks are no problem, ex-military vehicles are the concern.. I found the link to my post on the subject in an older thread...
have you researched any requirements for re-entering the USA? I had always heard that was the rub..not leaving but re-entry..seems there was a thread or 2 on this in the past..

wouldn't the museum have some sort of paper trail for the 'donation'? Seems..someone..would have to have cut paper on it for aquisition/tax purposes..

Army Firefighting..New Book..
saw this book, published in December, looks promising..just a heads up.. its on Amazon with some pages to look at.... Mike W..
confirming again...no mobile mechanics in your area..? Might cost more for your buddy to come down (depending how far 'upstate' he is) than a relatively short big rig tow.. Call a tow place and get an estimate.. then at least you'll know what costs will/might be..
just my 2 cents.. big...
You are just off I5 and the Grape Vine, right?..seems like mobile mechanics would be a dime (relatively) a dozen around you.. A few calls should quote you something..
Good Luck..

probably about as far away from your build as you can get, but an interesting take on removable camper boxes.. there's a vid in the layout and spec's link ... main prob would be distance from the ground I guess.. anyway, info only...

are you building the box separate from scratch? Or building it from the frame/bed base up? or a ready made Mil box repurposed..?
or maybe this sort of concept?

I'm sure those folks at the museum (or some local SS member) could get you any measurements you needed for a donation to the cause..great place to visit....
