Ok, Now I know I'm special.
This entire thread is now junk. I just found a thread from febuard of this yaer which started the exact same way. You know how it goes. You can look for a thing for a long time, as soom as you give up and go buy a new one you will find the old one. Someone could...
I was going thru and cleaning my grounds and I found this connecting my 24v buss to the negative buss on the bulkhead of the M1009. It has a GM number and everything. As you can see it is broken. It has three different sized orangish colored things that I think are resistors. Someone please...
I have flat towed a deuce behind my deuce just pull the driveshafts off of the axles. I left the frond caps. Don't know if it matters. Also, INFLATE the fronts! Gimpy is right, that will make your life easier. AndrewH
Maby Im just sick, I kind of enjoy dissecting my trucks...... I work on boats so dropping stuff really isint an option. Not saying it doesn't happen. I just get a lot of practice not dropping stuff. :-)
The manifold is easy to R&R and it will make your life a lot easier. I think you can replace the line without removing the intake it is just a pain with it in the way. I would think it would actually be faster to remove the intake than to fight it. Been there! AndrewH

I would like to put up a good word for Jason (jason lott here on SS). He is a new member here as of January 2010. I just bought a CUCV starter and alternators from Jason. They arrived quickly and were packaged VERY well. He said he may be selling ssome more CUCV parts as his project...
A wood chuck would chuck as much wood as a wood chuck could chuck assuming the wood chuck wanted to chuck any wood at all. And only if an officer told him to chuck. Andrew
I especially appreciate how you share information without the required "go look it up yourself" comment. It helps me out a lot because my Search Fu is poor. I have learned a lot just snooping around on the threads you help on! THANKS! AndrewH
To get them started at the base, we had to use a heavy wire and jump power from the top major post to the bottom major post on the Glow plug solenoid. (Because the cards were missing) You can try this to check starting. Watch out for zappy zappy sparks!
Andrewh
The controller card seems to be a fairly common problem, I don't know what kills them. I had to install a manual glow plug button to mine. When I got the vehicle the card had been removed. There is a thread here about the modification. It wold allow you to have the card and let it operate...
