What's the approximate value of a Mack powered M52A1 w/w. 10,000 miles, no rust, no leaks, straight body and complete. Very nice truck, runs and drives, good brakes.
Thanks in advance for any input.
I've got Air-O-Matics on 3 trucks, 2 M35A2's & 1 M109A3. They were installed by Uncle Sam. Just my opinion, I really like them. They all seem to work well and return to center just fine.
I'm puttin one on my M275A2. Backing my M128A2C's into their parking spots has never been any fun.
I use over the head ear muffs (Harbor Freight) or Bose Noise Canceling headphones with an IPOD. I bring both. You will need a decent cushion to sit on.
2000 miles in my XM816 - 4 days
800 miles in my M109A3 - 2 days
900 miles in my M275A2 - 2 days, did this trip twice
450 miles in M35A2 - 1 Day
Have some upcoming long trips planned:
1800 miles in my XM818
1700 miles in an M35A2
I can usually go about 12 hours then I get rest, usually a...
Congrats on the running wrecker!!! I love mine. It's a magnificent piece of equipment!
There is a yard in Fontana CA. where I believe they may be parting out wreckers. SS Member Groundog makes regular trips over there from Phoenix to get parts for us.
The So Cal members may be able to chime...
Here's a link to a trip report with my M275A2 Deuce Tractor:

Gives a little insight into the Deuce Tractor's performance.
LDS in a Deuce = Good. Turbo can be changed. There are a few of us here that have LDS's in our Deuces. I think you hit the Multifuel jackpot.
My truck below has rings on the bed as it was a shelter carrying truck. It also has a box seat, which I like.
Speedo on this truck shows 280 miles and...
The A1 Macks are pretty darn rare. I have an M54A1C and have grown very fond of this truck. The ENDT-673 is a real piece of work. Lots of pure torque. Beautiful engine.
Photo below as a reference, 800 Series on the left and A1 Mack on the right. As Wade mentioned notice the placement of the...
There is a ladder out there exactly like the deuce ladder but half a step taller. It's for the 5 Ton. Notice the half extra step at the bottom on the 2 5 Ton ladders below.
The other ladder below is the same that Austin had up for sale. Look at the side, you can see one of its feet stowed...
That ladder that Austin had on Ebay was the ladder for an M128A2C. It's missing both of it's adjustable feet.
Talk about hard to find, this is an impossible to find ladder. It is also used on the Patriot Missile Battery.
I have two of these, one for each of my M128A2C trailers. I also have...
Jim, try cleaning all the connections at the junction block on the firewall - driver side. I've had the same thing happen to mine and after much trouble shooting found my problem there. Just a suggestion.
Hey, no problem. I was pointing out fact about why the prices did what they did. Thought it would be interesting. People in the business and here on SS have been talking about GL possibly playing around for years. That's not what I was refering to. That horse has been beat.
Hey DM22630, I deleted it. I never post information about auctions. This one was just very interesting. I understand that it's an auction, I have been buying large quantities of surplus from GL for years, trucks, trailers and equipment included. I no longer buy much surplus for resale. I could...
