If you use the stock M35 rims and flip hubs around total width will be less than the duals by aprox overall 5-6 inches. As you look at truck from front to rear tires will all line up straight. So you can get an idea of width by measuring the width of your front wheels.<img...
Here in Georgia we had Progressive insurance on our Deuce that was the only place thet would insure it at the time and they told us it had to be done under commercial/non commercial useage and that cost us $1200.00 a year. We found a company out of Florida called GulfWay Insurers of Hudson...
There is no lock on these. First you put an electrical cutoff switch for the batteries in the battery compartment where no one can see it and this shuts off batteries. Then you put a lock on the battery door. Most of the trucks we have seen have a chain welded to the floor long enough to wrap...
On a stock Deuce with the normal axle spacing (front to rear) 1400 will not fit they will rub each other. We have 1100 on ours and we are very satisfied with the overall performance ove the 900 tires.
We use 75/90 weight from Amsoil. It runs great using this. We use Amsoil in the engine and in the axels, also in the wheel bearings, also in the transfer case. By using the Amsoil synthetic we get better fuel mileage.
As for your coolant whatever you are comfortable with as far as major brands. I think the stuff we used is silicone based and the mixture is 50/50. If it has been in a while you may want to flush it till water runs clear. Hope this helps.
Are you ready for this? If you can handle the radiator and any other semi tuff jobs then you can probably do this. Being that the local Snap on and Matco do not have tools for this. The military did but for some reason no one has found any yet. What my husband did was to get 2 big water...
The inner and outer bearings are different but the bearing races are the same. You can flip the hub around punch out your lug bolts and put them in the other direction or if you feel like spending a little money buy 4 front wheel drive hubs 2 left and 2 rights, right hand threads. Take off the...
You people are on the right track. Actual voltage reading with the meter no load with engine ideling with an alternator should read between 27.50 and 28 volts. This is best. Providing that the volt meter gauge is accurate the needle should always be in the green zone. Usually mid way up...
The 1C and 1D turbos are different as you fellows have figured out. 1C is a high pressure turbo and 1D is a low pressure. The 1D does whistle but with a stock pipe exhaust system the resignating sound from the pipe and through your cab makes it hard to hear. When can hear our 1D turbo as some...
The kit we used was for early jeep not sure what year but the part numbers that are in the kit are 60-750 60-751 60-725 60-730 60-733 60-731 60-732. We used the part number 60-750. It had an adapter that fit over the original shaft then a special nut screwed down into it to hold adapter in...
We bought our kit from Napa. It included an adapter and then a wiper arm with a stronger spring tension which allows us to use other wiper blades. And they really stick to the glass.
One way to help is to use the lock out hubs on the front. The engine rpm normally with 900x20 tires should be about 2500 to 2600 at 55 or 56 mph. Do you live in a higher altitude? Being non-turbo and at a higher altitude can cause some problems. Check your gear oil and make sure it does not...
We will not be able to do anything for the 4th. But this coming weekend the 18 and 19 here in Georgia Fort McPherson and Fort Gillem are having a big event for the Army's birthday and we will be there with our group MVPA showing our vehicles to the public and rememebering our troops.
