How do you properly drive a deuce manual??

I have a question about how to properly drive a manual. I was thinking back to when I moved my deuce tractor, M275, and I had problems where every time I up shifted, the transfer lever would pop out of gear so I had to follow steps like: push clutch, pull out of gear, put into next gear, hold...

Sad accident and taking people along in the deuce

When I read the story the first thing that popped into my mind was, why was a new driver letting the teacher stand outside AND having people in the back? If I was the student, I would have stayed on the flat ground if I had to have people riding with me. I would never had even tried to go up a...

    A 1958 Cardox 6x6. A what??

Saw it on Ebay. Looks kind of like a big old mail truck to me. Weird looking but neat. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150120766020&fromMakeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:middle:us

    mod pristene m35a2 w/w or trade/buy m275 comments?? trades??

The one on Ebay might not be a M275. I am suspicious because it has a bed on it and the pics are so small you can't really see anything. If I were you, I would modify your M35. It sounds in great shape so you wouldn't have to worry about fixing up another truck that might have hidden problems...

    How To Loosen Lug Nuts?

I had that problem on my 83' Chevy 4x4. The tire went bad sitting in storage and blow out. When I tried to take it off, I couldn't get the nuts loose. I tried heating it but I only had a small map torch and it was a little windy so that didn't help much. I ended up using a 1" breaker bar and my...

1942 M211, M222? How much is it worth running?

Thanks for the info guys. I tried looking around on the web and found some other trucks in about this same age and found they were anywhere from $500 - $3000 depending on how good a shape they are in. The only photo I have of it is from the sellers ad on ebay for a pickup he was selling and I...

1942 M211, M222? How much is it worth running?

I found an early deuce right here in my town. I haven't looked at it yet but I was told that it was running and driving in use as a fire water truck. The water tank was removed when this seller got it and had it towed from Wisconsin to Iowa with it's drive shaft removed. He said the battery...

    gasser parts

I have an old Reo. I might be interested in some parts. Does anything off a M45 fit a M275 ?? I can't find a picture of a M45 online so I am not sure if they are the same type of truck or not. The only thing I could find out between the 2 is: M45 Chassis, truck, REO AO331, 2 1/2-ton, 6 X 6, 9:00...

 I saw this 8x8 on the highway 2 days ago. Lucky I had my camara with me and I saw it in time. (I was 1/4 mile from my off ramp when I saw it) I followed it a little ways and took some pics of it. What is it? I can not figure out what is on the back end. I wish I had those tires on my...

    On the road to Iowa

Hay DR. Good to hear you post an update. [The TD-6 is chained down solidly and I did fall through the boards once at Howard's. It's a wonder I didn't break anything. Heck I didn't even get a scratch! However, the broken wood was almost fun to pick up.] WOW. I'm glad you are ok. Were...
