    Generators and Amateur radio

Hi guys, I was wondering if any of you are licenced Amateur Radio operators? I am N2MIR. I work 40 meters and wondering if there are any talk nets that discuss trouble shooting generators? Or any hams who would like to just chat about technical problems over the radio?

    Modified remote controler

Hello fellow 802/803 lovers, I just had a special built remote start board by Kurt Klopp. The change made was adding CT's to the C1 and C3 connection wires so that actual currents could be read instead of the % load. This enables me to balance the load by monitoring via WiFi. No need to run...

MEP-802a walking on smooth concrete floor

Just a word on diesel engines that are not anchored down. From what I have been told by the experts a floating diesel is bad for it's health. It has something to do with internal vibration harmonics.

    Frequency Fluctuating on MEP802

If one has a bad freq transducer where can you buy a replacement? My Mep803a also has a bouncing meter. But the Fluke reads fairly steady with some digital fluctuation.

Engine runs steady. My fluke shows very little change in freq.

    Frequency meter erratic

It bounces from 60 to 80 and sometimes down to zero. Its not a steady fluctuation. Sometimes it stays at 60 for about 5 seconds.

    Frequency meter erratic

My other analog meters are close in reading compared to the fluke. Its just the freq meter that is crazy.

    Frequency meter erratic

They are all tight. What switch controls the meter? I assume its direct wired to its pickup.

    Frequency meter erratic

My MEP 803a has an erratic. Frequency meter. My Fluke meter reads steady freq. So what is causing the analog meter on the panel to be erratic?

Wiring an ATS to the MEP803a

Does your board offer the time circuit to operate the pre-heaters, primer, befor the start closure?

Wiring an ATS to the MEP803a

I plan to install an ASCO ATS. Does anyone know what the wire taps are on the 803 control board to wire the start sequence? Or is there an option kit to convert to ATS control?
