Does any know where you can get the rear armor partition and an approx. cost of them.

I am a noob to these jeeps and I was wondering if there are any engine precautions to take since you have to run unleaded gas or if it is ok to run unleaded in it as is?

The 4L80E is a 32 count spline. The 3L80 is the same i believe. Has any one changed the transmission and not the transfer case or would it be recommended to change the transfer case also. Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure I do this right.

Thanks for all the info gents. Can I put in the 4L80E and not change the transfer case? I know the drive shafts have to be shorter. I have the original transfer case.

I do have the serial number. How do I add it to the log book?

I am looking for peoples opinions on which transmission is better and why they think so. I have been doing research on gearing and so forth. I would just like to know from people who have used them. I am planning on changing soon to be nicer to my 6.5LTD. Thanks.

Thanks for all the info. Is the 700r4 a better deal than a 4l80e? I don't mean in terms of labor, but is it basically an equivilant?. I spent the money to put a 6.5LTD in and I want to treat it nice. Second I would be interested in getting a tach, thanks for the heads up.

Does anyone know what the RPM's are when going 55MPH with a 3L80? I don't have a tahc or tool o measure.

I was in the Drum and Bugle Corps for some time. We did this show every year. As for going to the mid west, we didn't seem to perform there much. I had wished we would have played in the mid west more since I have lots of family in Colorado. You can always request them to come.

I have been a ham for seven years. I use a Yaesu FT-8900R quad band. Excellent radio.

I don't know much about transmissions so sorry if this sounds stupid. If I put a manual valve body on, then it is a mechanical transmission correct? Would it shift smooth, or would you have to add different parts on top of the valve body?

Where can you buy the o rings for these?

The heater is a SW. I have not had any starting problem. It takes about 1 minute to get going and runs fine.
