New Arduino-based FMTV CTIS controller ROCKS!

CID are the 3 air valves on the CTIS system: C = Control: it's needed to close the quick release valves and get the system under pressure I = Inflate: opens the inflate valve to rise the pressure D = Deflate: opens the deflate valve to lower the pressure. I show it on the display to check the...

What have you done WITH your FMTV ( trips, Rescues etc) NOT: fixes, updates etc

It's a pure electric a/c connected to the box batteries. It works also when engine is not running... The box is a fridge box, buid on my sketches. I made only the inside, windows, photovoltaic etc... Christian

    Buzzer with volume control?

You're right, but it's a button (sorry for my mistake) that I need to keep pressed to inhibit the warning. It's not permanent. Ithink in EU the law is quite similar than in the US. You cannot inhibit the warning permanently... But I'm not an expert... Christian

    Buzzer with volume control?

I put a small kill switch in the wire of the buzzer. On startup I press the switch and wait until air is OK. When I'm in road I think also that this buzzer can save lives! Christian

    CTIS and Arduino

There are some error messages, like PCU sensor fault, leaking wheel valves (if there is a heavy leakage), but not more. The ECU do not read the speed sensor to warn if you are in overspeed with low pressure. Christian

    M1078 - radiator - electric fan conversion

but in this days, also big trucks have electric fans for cooling, or not? how do they solve the problem with high cfm and low current usage?

    M1078 - radiator - electric fan conversion

Thank you for your feedback. Do you know the cfm of the factory fan? By putting 2 (or maybe 4 if there is enough space) you can get up to 8000 cfm. But of course you also need enough current to run them at full speed with idle engine... Christian

    CTIS and Arduino

Hello all! As announced, here a short and unprofessional video of my Arduino CTIS ECU. It's an example on how it works when pressure is too low, it works also when pressure is to high. You can set 4 diffrent pressures depending your needs, and works with 4x4 and 6x6 trucks as well. You do not...

    M1078 - radiator - electric fan conversion

Hi guys (and hopefully also some ladies) Did someone though to convert the clutch fan for the radiator to a electric driven fan? I hate the moment when at 2300 rpm the clutch engage the fan and seems that everything is blown up! There should be enough space to put a electric fan right behind the...

Got driveshafts balanced yet? Otherwise, it's like a grenade ready to go off at any time.

OK, got mine back from balancing: before: Hinging test: 0.2mm, feelable if you move up/down shaft. now: Hinging test: 0.08mm, you do not feel any movement if you move up/down driveshaft. driving feeling: feels much better, I did not had vibrations before, but now its less noisy and now you...

Got driveshafts balanced yet? Otherwise, it's like a grenade ready to go off at any time.

Gave mine also to balance now. hinging test was 0,2mm, driveshaft companies said over 0,2mm the do no balancing, refurbished ones need to stay under 0,1mm. At the same time I change the u-joints ank keep the old one for spare. Next week I can tell more if there is a diffrence between 0,2mm and...
