Since Frequency meters are solid gold can a MEP be run without one? Or the better question is, how to bypass it without harm to the set?
I only ask because a ice storm is in the forecast in my area and I have a running MEP 002a less the frequency meter. I might need it.
Yes, mine had filters and was overfull on oil. Most are drained of all fluids. I have filters on hand they are available at Napa and most good auto parts stores. I would strongly recommend a spin on oil filter conversion that gimpyrob suggested. I'll be ordering one soon.

1. I understand you will be fined $5,000.00 and the one who supplied the fuel will get the same fine.
2. It is a federal crime (tax evasion).
3. The likelihood of the average person getting dipped is low, commercial or farm is more likely.
