I didn't mind no power steering , but I got a great deal on an air assist unit and it works as expected. I don't drive it everyday, maybe twice a month. I love the looks, stares, waves and people gawking at me as I thunder by. The stock springer seat and bench seat are going to be replaced by...
When I bought my Duece I changed all seven of my 11.00-20 XL's for 11.00-20 G177 Goodyears. The only problem was the Goodyears were mounted on five ton wheels. We had a slide hammer type bead breaker at work and I changed only two tires onto the truck each day I worked on it. Luckily there...
We have a Millermatic 35 at work, we got it for free because it had a few melted plugs that you select the heat range with. I think we spent about $100 to get it welding again. That was 5 years ago, we just keep our fingers crossed that it keeps on going.
I just told my wife about this and she said the 17th is High School Prom for my son, dangit! He is on Prom court this year and he wants me to take him in the Duece. His girlfriend and other friends want a ride to Prom also. So I guess hopefully I'll see you guys at a later date.
The lift came in a package deal with a bandsaw, engine lift and some other stuff. Some guy came into the place that I work and sold my boss all of this stuff pretty cheap about 8 years ago. This lift sat in the corner all of that time and I gave him $50 for it. I bought small snatch blocks...
Looks great, I added mine for loading and unloading tires. I had to cut 4" out of it so it would fit under my cargo cover, then I added a few pulleys and hand crank winch. It's better than trying to lift those heavy suckers into the bed by yourself!
At least my truck won't be a useless 6 ton hunk of scrap steel in my driveway. I usually don't put over 600 miles a year on it and most of that is traveling to shows and parades, but I still would like to drive it whenever and wherever I please. Maybe someday!

Following a meeting with the chairman of the Wis Senate transportation committee, the committee last week changed the two senate bills regarding registration of military vehicles.
The Erpenbach bill SB 392 was amended to include ONLY PINZGAUER military trucks...
I just bought two matching air ride seats from Hribar Trucking in Sturtevant, WI. I am going to have them recovered so they don't look so out of place. My son rides with me on a regular basis and I had a chance to sit on the passenger side last summer and I must say my boy is great, he never...
My Duece and I both like no faster than 45mph. I have 11.00-20's on it and it will go 60 but I don't really like the idea of fixing a blown up engine. Also when I sell the Duece someday I know how it's been treated since I have owned it, so I won't feel bad in saying I have taken real good...
