looking at your pictures though...............didn't the hump on that piece end up going up? i siliconed it up today but damned if i remember which way it was positioned.
i seem to recall that we put it hump side down and figured out we were backwards?
you truly ARE the Deuce Whisperer!
must be a 24V system thing because i've never encountered that with a 12.............but yep, damned if you weren't 100%. one connection was loose enough to wiggle father down on the post and it fired right up.
that was the first time my dad had heard it...
how about not starting? damned thing doesn't do jack since you shut it off last night. i get a nice solid click at the starter and nothing else.
i guess the %$@#$%&%$ starter died because i put it in reverse and pulled it a few feet with my truck to make sure the crank turned
this thing...
yep, keith is the man. that deuce didn't stand a chance and it knew it.
it's leaking oil like a SOB from the oil pan and IP but i'm gonna silicone up the IP this afternoon and i've got a line on a new pan so we're certainly headed in the right direction now that The Deuce Whisperer pointed us...
i have looked at something like 12 different parts suppliers websites and damned if i can find an oil pan gasket anywhere. i've googled and ebayed and everything else i could think of up to this point.
where have yall gotten yours? are they like snipe? should i just invest in silicone?
the blue was premixed coolant andy took along. it was 2 gallons low.
more fun though. he just called and said they couldn't get the truck to roll without dropping the driveshaft
so what are you looking at to fix it exactly? do you think it's simply gummed up, are you going to have to take something apart and twist on it or are you thinking part replacement?
Would it even be safe to start? I've seen the oilpan and from the drainplug to the front it's 3" shorter. Gotta be an oil pickup tube in there somewhere...
just have to go by the dash plate.
i had somebody take a look at one i won and they said it had a completely different set of #s on the windshield than the auction
i call the FBI almost daily running NICS checks on people. the vast majority of the time this is about a 3 MINUTE ordeal:
