This show is being put together by the North Cascades Military Vehicle Collectors www.ncmvcc.org We are a loosely bound bunch of collectors in the Seattle-Everett area (no set boundaries, though) who get together and put on displays or participate in parades. This year, we are also going to...
Check MPJA.com for a selection of 24v to 12v down-converters. They won't put out enough current to run a hydraulic pump, but you can charge that third 12v battery with it as needed. I think you can set the output up from 12 to 13.8 or whatever. Might have to hack it with a couple of resistors...
Oops, my bad. Jumped to a conclusion, again. Sounds good to me. Only in this day and age could "going barbaric" refer to only having a smart phone with a buzillion transistors for communications. Hey, does that pizza place have lots of parking?
Weather looks dandy for the parade, for once. So after the parade, where's the party? In the past, we have sorta meandered over to a watering hole on M street. Can't remember the name of it. Lots of room to park. It's a family style restaurant.
Jim
The restaurant is called "Trotters". Hope...
Most excellent! Everyone here certainly understands Pacific Northwest weather. It'll probably rain some and be clear some. We can just run into Kurt's man-cave during the rainy parts. :-)
Jim
Watching the University of Washington Atmospheric Sciences computer modeling and Friday appears to clear out significantly, with a smaller system coming in from the south on Saturday, but nothing big like we have now. I would plan for some rain, though. Not a washout, by any means. See you...
Storm: I have some clamp-on tail lights that plug directly into mil trucks. You're welcome to use them if they'll help. Just ignore your trailer wiring altogether and plug these in.
Jim
There is no theme. We just appreciate everyone that brings in a vehicle to show. The veterans bring their grandkids to show them a bit of their history, sometimes. All eras are invited to come. We have some assistance for fuel costs. See the earlier posts.
Jim
Amazing. I have a plan in mind. I'll use a cheap laser level from Harbor Freight and plop it on the top of the fender aiming forward to establish the level point (+ a few inches that I can measure down to the actual light bulb) of both sides. This presupposes that the top of the fender is level...
Gasp!aua After perusing the internet, I found that there is every story and method imaginable. The most reasonable and seemingly well thought out ones say that you use low beams only for the adjustment, and both headlights are to aim straight forward and a tad low at 25'. By 'tad', they say...
Hi,
I could swear that I've seen it somewhere. The two lights are aimed differently, too. At least I recall that. The left one is tilted a little to the right to keep it out of oncoming eyes. Well, maybe someone can dredge up the actual instructions.
I've looked at the manuals and can't find the specs for aiming the headlights. I see how to change the assemblies and they say there is no follow-on work necessary. Well, there is if you want them to be aimed right. Something like 'park 20' from a building and adjust for so many feet up and so...
Excellent! We do the show, rain or shine. Even if it rains, we have fun. Lots of veterans are counting on us being there. I've seen many of them bring their kids and grandkids to show them some of the history they participated in.

Mark your calendars for the upcoming military vehicle display at the big gun show. It's the biggest show of the year for the Washington Arms Collectors (www.washingtonarmscollectors.org) and we put on a big display every year there. Several thousand (no kidding) people come to this event, and we...

I'd like to throw in with you, Peter. Probably the Abbot. Otherwise, the Hawk. I'll need to offload somewhere. Need 100+ feet temporarily. 51 feet after that.

Storm,
Arrive and be parked by 0800, the time the show opens. The display area is right in front of the building, on the west side. If there are changes, I'll post them. Thanks,
Jim
