yeah mine actually has a inline rotary brass tap fitted before the injector which blocks fuel flow to that injector as well as the venting tap to bleed system
had mine apart today and mine does same,when i go into reverse it engages front poppet on g/box which supplys air to transfer cyl which i can here clank and when i pull out of reverse mine dumps air thru vent on valves and then it engages rear most poppet which supplies air to rear most pipe on...
i got 2 m35s with airshift in cab but these only have one pipe to transfer sprag(unlike 5t with two pipes to sprag).?does this m35 only have 6 wheel drive going forwards?.seems logical to put a deuce switch in supply line to poppet valves.thanks
sounds like my seals are allowing pump pressure thru coz after a week gauge has dropped right down.i suppose there are o rings inside primer then.thanks for confirming that
on my 816 the cold start fuel primer gauge shows pressure all the time the engine is running= is this correct or should it only show a reading when hand primer in cab is pumped?. ?should the the gauge side be isolated when primer is in locked/shut position.thanks
hi guys,i posted a question about airshift operation abit back and since then ive took out/cleaned/refitted the poppet valves in my 816 gearbox and found that the air cyl in transfer now clanks when engaging reverse and then clanks again when returning back to neutral,this i take it the sprag...
only recently discovered steel soldiers and think its ace,been looking back through previous posts on 5ton and it a mass of information especially as cummins stuff over is rare and you see or know of any on the rally circiut.thanks for replies on air shifter as i will now look into poppet...
thanks for your reply,not noticed any noises yet but its the lack of venting/dumping when going into first that caught my attention for im sure it did so 3 months ago.i take it sounds like its putting the sprag into reverse but if its not venting when going back to first then its taking it out...
hello my name is martin and i live in the uk,back in august i bought a 816 wrecker and im sure back then when going into first and reverse gear i got an air venting noise from valves on gearbox.now it only seems to vent when engaging reverse?can any one confirm that it should do it in both...
