We won’t get to the north west this summer but will be there as we head up to Alaska next summer.

We finally hit the road 5 weeks ago on our 2 year journey. Because we’ve already explored eastern us we head west to Texas our first big stop is here at Big Bend National Park. Beautiful park.
Search pael plugs on McMaster Carr website. Measure the hole diameter and put that in the filter. Not the cheapest route but that’s where I bought mine.
press Ser Drive then enter for head lights. Most of the time I have to press enter very hard and hold it and sometimes multiple times. Some times repeat the process. The enter button isn’t the most responsive. I did open it up and clean some green oxidation off but it didn’t seem to help.
I never call for that reason, I go there in person to order parts then go back typically the next day and pick them up. And even there in person parts guys are typically not the friendliest. I don’t think they like dealing with individuals as customers.
Mine came from Pensacola Fl where I think they used it in for high water rescue after hurricane Katrina. It had lots of surface rust and like previously stated Ospho is great then I used POR15. I did that 8 years ago and still looks great. Although to hide the dirt stains a good pressure washing...
I would love to buy one just for parts. When an alternator can cost $2,500 and I could buy the whole vehicle for less. Just need to ship it to Florida.
Fiberglass would be the way to go but will take a lot of work.
FYI ( for your information) I purchased one of these to measure the wind speed above the cab. I needed to know what it was before I committed to installing the mini splits out side unit on the front of the habitat above the cab...
Pneumatic actuators are excellent and clean. When I worked for the animated robotics company (Sally Corporation, in Jacksonville FL) all our characters were pneumatic and was always fun getting the speeds correct to match the type of movement. Disney uses hydraulics in all of there characters...
